Its probably part of the reason I went 12 months with this game and I’ve openly said if they turn this game around and actually do something meaningful and maybe make it work? I wouldn’t be against picking it up cheaper on sale . But I doubt even then I would because its just putting money back into these people
I don’t think they should be congratulated for delivering on core gameplay features they talked about at launch.
Same will be said for Cyberpunk. Thats a full price game that shouldnt have been released and mass refunds reflect that.
It’d be one thing if illfonic marched out the door bsing about 3v12 pred modes and advertising movie preds.
I’ll say this, the money they accrued on launch from sales has most likely been blown on server upkeep and maintenance. Those are very costly depending on the quality and the provider. Even overseas, the same problem is present. I wouldn’t be surprised if the DLC purchases have been one of the only sources of funding for the future of this game. Sony obviously doesn’t give a fuck, Epic is still gorging itself on that gold mine that is Fortnite, no one cares about this game except Disney and the Thomas Brothers. Even then, I’m not so sure. Regardless, I have and will keep buying each DLC pack they release to support the game. I have the money to blow there and I can do whatever I want with it.

Better than nothing. However, with the trial for the rights coming up in May, we could possibly lose any hope for the duration of the trial if a preliminary injunction is enacted. Right now, all we can do is wait and see.

The servers only cost them as a pay as you go tariff service . The server costs go up or down depending on the active players.
The maintenance is pretty much included in that service

There is no set server numbers , they confirmed it costs them 70% less . That doesn’t mean it is cheap , but the fact they launched on another provider like steam? Must mean they know they can afford it .
I am curious though , if they can clearly give you Mr.black , why haven’t they ? Did they make the early and continues playerbase wait until they were on steam to drop more movie related skins? They sort of throttled their own momentum if they did , but still the performance was what it was
You are forgetting about a lot of ppl that bought it as a thanks for a good predator game and way of support development. We are not all greedy bastards that just could not wait a month or two - we want to help
