I am the biggest predator fan I personally know. I’ve been waiting for this game since I was like 4. I don’t mean this game in particular, just any predator game that allows you to put yourself as a predator against a team of human controlled soldiers. I have been defending the game since the beta and enjoying it for the most part. But I can’t do it anymore. This game in its current state is borderline unplayable. You sit in trees using range all game for 15 min then they escape you maybe get one kill thirsting someone who’s already down by just blasting there body with the plasma caster. If you go near the fireteam. I mean within 50 feet. You see everyone pull there knives out and rush you. This is not fun, completely shatters the player experience and any sense of this being a predator game. Then they just stab you , if you try to fight back you get stunned in place and murdered. Then, you hit second wind. Just all over the map trying to escape, you try and heal and are immediately killed. Second wind has you glowing and losing half your transversal abilities because fuck you right you’re dead. The game is not fun. Sitting in trees spamming plasma because it’s your only option is not worth a 40$ title that sounds like an app I’d download. Again, you are hard pressed to find a bigger predator fan. But unless they remove the ability to parry the predator so you don’t get rushed at with knives and ping spam you while you are in trees, this game is not going to make it. Which the thought of that makes me wanna do a cliff dive because I’ve wanted this game all my life.

Quick no. I’m not playing it wrong my guy I’ve won a lot of games I’m lvl 100. You saying this is just ignorance or not wanting to admit the truth. At the moment, if you don’t bring a net gun, you can’t melee anyone. That’s broken. At the moment, you have to sit in trees and just one shot with plasma. Keep in mind these things are against people who understand the exploits. Yes lots of fireteams are bad and you run through them, but a good fireteam should be a squad that has eachothers backs and brings a variety of weapons for every situation not one that just pulls knives and abuses the fact that they can just stun you in place and stab you to death negating all your physical damage. If this has yet to happen to you congratulations you are playing simpletons.
I agree with you, the problem is we can’t play the game as a predator. When we say this we don’t mean we can’t kill the fire team we mean we can’t play a predator the way its supposed to by played, stalking the fire team and picking them off 1 by 1 because the game is to fast paced. If you don’t sprint around constantly and keep spamming the plasma caster at them you can’t win, its that simple… When we play predator we want to feel like a hunter not a leap frog banging your head on a branch after being parried and spotted constantly while trying to escape that one guy who chases you with a knife…

You’re level 100, but say the game is borderline unplayable? I’m sorry, I don’t think I follow.
They dropped a hotfix mere days after release, and they’re looking to drop another. These things take time. If you wanna take a break and come back to it, then I’d recommend doing so. Because with the size of their team, it’s not going to all be fixed in a very short amount of time. At least the turn around this far on a number of issues hasn’t been that bad at all.
I think balancing this you say is easier than addressing deeper problems the game has.
Because the lack of content the game shows (as long as it is an online game) is because of the deep core issue in balancing the game has. I explain:
The utopi we are looking for here is that 4 Marines against 1 Predator (in any of it’s forms) would have always a 50/50 win ratio per team. This is, that when you go in you actually dont know what’s gonna happen because is all decided by player skill.
When this above is true. You are not only making the game fun and fair. But you are giving the players the ability to play with whoever or however they want always with the same ammount of win probabilities if they play as intended with their class.
This is an insane amount of content hours and the holy grail of online games.
And this game fails big here.
No offense here man seriously but if you think fun is to just hide and spam plasma blaster as a predator which actually insults predator lore, predator is a fearless hunter that goes balls deep as if i were to put it… Technically everytime i go for a finish i go for quick one cause im scared i will get knifed to death if i stay on ground… Now to me that does not sound fun at all xd…

Again you are missing the point… Its not about hiding or just shooting the plasma its about feeling satisfaction while doing it and having fun… All i’ve been feeling lately is fear of being spotted 24/7 by PC players (PS players are decent to play againts) So like no matter if you play aggresive or smart you just wont get any fun from it cause if you play passive agressive your health will get melted off instantly, if you play passive smart your prey will escape, the max i am able to do now as predator is stall those 15 min + one minute overtime to actually grab a win… Again if i win i get no fun from it as i didnt do shit cause you cant do much.
I agree with you 100 percent - what they did to predator in this game is absurd. Apart from him being owned by kitchen knifes (nonsens) he is unable to be stealth with a cloak that does not gradually progress while you sneak, super loud foot steps you make even if you are sneaking and constant clicking sounds he makes while cloaked… spam spoting is now a standart technique that renders cloaking obsolete… there is literally no way to hunt in this game
Thats where my story differs from yours. I just wiped a squad in 2 minutes with a scout. But im playing on ps4. If your in pc… Then its a different story. I see your point, but i feel different. Gg & hf!
I could explain again what I’ve already said, but if you enjoy playing predator against a 4 stack of knife rushers who ping spam you while in trees making ranged combat a pain and Melee combat UNPLAYABLE then enjoy my friend you earned it.
I mean yeah im not saying PS players are bad and shit… but they actually dont have freedom for aim flicking… sure you can increase your sens on controller to aim faster but you cant just flick your wrist like you can do on mouse to just headshot the predator or keep spotting them… on PC yeah its pretty easy cause i know i always do it myself to win as fireteam…
Can’t say I’ve seen knife rushers. Ping spam shouldn’t be an issue for a good Predator. I’ve seen plenty ping spam and the Predator had no problem getting around it and still won. It’s certainly possible. I mean, thanks? I can’t even remember the last time I played as a predator because of the clogged up queues. So I play no preference every time. 🤷🏻♂️
Ahhh yes the old straw man argument. Get Gud. Classic. Well again if you actually read you’d see what you’re saying has nothing to do with my complaints so great job being an intellectual. I’m not saying I can’t win, we can all win. Not every time but we know how to win. We are complaining that the way you have to win is dumb. There should never be only one way to win against a good fireteam. Melee combat is BUSTED the parry makes it literally not a relevant system what so ever. Yes, if you play absolute mongoloids you can charge them down. But that’s the bad players. Good players you have to play leap frog in trees and spam plasma caster to win. That. Is. Dumb. It should be an option to be a ranged only predator not a demand for success. And again before you say more absolutely thought provoking comments like, only bad predators have these problems, we are talking about good fireteam members, which there are a lot of. Yes you will crush bad players but um duh. The ones who know the exploits of this game will fold you for trying anything but plasma caster.
