Ah, the “fake news” argument.

So, that study was performed at Harvard.

They’re not to be trusted, huh?

Yeah

Lol. No. Not if they are the dominant ethnic group.

Well now that is much more interesting than what the rest of this thread has offered.

There are White people that get abused like this and get called racial slurs on a regular basis. I don’t think it’s cool that you’re just invalidating their experiences.

Simply stated, anyone can experience racism.

I agree with this. I’m having a good time with this. I have no malice toward anyone with an opposing viewpoint.

What I’m telling you is that having your feelings hurt because of the color of your skin and being murdered by the state for the color of your skin are not equal violations of the law.

Khi this is literal racism.
Racism is any hatred for any race simply for them being that race.

You cant say its impossible to be racist against white people otherwise you basically let those who hate white ppl get away with racism.

It has to stop on all ends.

That is racial prejudice, not racism.

White people, if they are the dominant ethnic group, CANNOT be the victims of racism in a country that was conquered by their ancestors and wherein they outnumber every other minority group.

It just doesn’t happen.

As I mentioned before, being insulted for the color of your skin and being killed for the color of your skin are not equal.

lol. I’m black in america and I would define black kids beating up a white kid for being in a black neighborhood racist, yes. The wordplay is dumb and pointless.

The whole “you can’t be racist towards white people” is just a mechanism for people to feel validated in doing the same thing they claim to be fighting against.

Fact of reality is that every single person has some form of implicit bias. The second you look at someone you subconciously stereotype them based on social class, skin color, nationality, religon, age, all the way down to the way they talk. Everyone is discriminatory, the point is to not be an asshole and not do the same us vs them bullshit that’s been perpetuated since the beginning of time in different forms.

See, I can get behind this.

We all have biases and to allege otherwise is foolish, and dangerously wrong.

I’m respectful of your opinion, I disagree with it, because I believe based upon what has been demonstrated to me and with accompanying data that ultimately, there is less recourse available to persons of color and Black Americans than is made available to Americans of white European descent, through availability of representation in courts, schools, banks, etc.

I’m talking about systemic racism, rather than individual acts of racial prejudice.

When I say “racism”, I’m referring to the dominant ethnic group disenfranchising/subjugating the minority ethnic group.

Let’s make an assumption that both are racism, for the sake of your argument. Even so - they are absolutely not the same thing and not equal in their gravity. Can we agree on that?
