Didn’t the democrats create the KKK?
On the topic of racism
Didn’t the democrats create the KKK?
Yes, they did.
Attacking the Democrats doesn’t weaken my position, though, just so everyone knows. I’m not a Democrat. 😂
Truth isn’t an attack
I just find it hard to believe an institution that old has really strayed from their roots
Especially when the same people have been running it
I’m referring to an earlier remark where he said the “left” created the KKK.
That’s false. Democrats did.
I ain’t one.
the organization saw its primary goal–the reestablishment of white supremacy–fulfilled through Democratic victories in state legislatures across the South in the 1870s. After a period of decline, white Protestant nativist groups revived the Klan in the early 20th century, burning crosses and staging rallies, parades and marches denouncing immigrants, Catholics, Jews, African Americans and organized labor.
This is about the klan
You’re right.
They definitely did.
Don’t get mad at me found this at
I’m not mad at you! 😂
Democrats are politically left wing.
Didn’t the democrats who created the KKK jump to ship to the Republicans during reconstruction?
Well give me a minute I’m gonna read some more
And fascists are right-wing.
Does that mean anyone who votes conservatively is a fascist? No.
Neither are true. This is false equivalency.
To answer your original post, yes, FT is the power role.
Pred needs a buff.
Except in todays political climate the average conservative is centrist whilst the average Democrat is left to far left.
After 1870, Republican state governments in the South turned to Congress for help, resulting in the passage of three Enforcement Acts, the strongest of which was the Ku Klux Klan Act of 1871. For the first time, the Ku Klux Klan Act designated certain crimes committed by individuals as federal offenses, including conspiracies to deprive citizens of the right to hold office, serve on juries and enjoy the equal protection of the law. The act authorized the president to suspend the writ of habeas corpus and arrest accused individuals without charge, and to send federal forces to suppress Klan violence. This expansion of federal authority–which Ulysses S. Grant promptly used in 1871 to crush Klan activity in South Carolina and other areas of the South–outraged Democrats and even alarmed many Republicans.
Just some stuff I found on the topic
The cases of Klan-related violence became more isolated in the decades to come, though fragmented groups became aligned with neo-Nazi or other right-wing extremist organizations from the 1970s onward. In the early 1990s, the Klan was estimated to have between 6,000 and 10,000 active members, mostly in the Deep South.
Do you have a source for this allegation?
Define “average conservative” and “average democrat”?
Surely the insurrectionists were not a collection of “average conservatives”, can we agree upon this?
There’s a movie called Hilary’s America where they go deep into the creation of the KKK
I’d recommend it for this section of the film alone
It was free on YouTube
That’s how I saw it
But it’s not free anymore
Obviously but that’s my point right there. The media is extremely biased against conservatives right now. When conservatives don’t condone acts of domestic terrorism. They also don’t condone election fraud but ehh
