I didn’t say that either
Stop being offended 😅
Everyone knows faggot is derogatory towards gays
No one is referencing sticks or cigarettes when they use it in 2021

Weren’t you the one who was saying you’d wipe any team? Lol but alright hoss
"Or just stop using that word and other slurs against groups of people"
Faggot has more or less become analogous with pussy or tenderfoot
Hardly anyone, other than actual bigots would call someone that directly. Which doesn’t happen when quoting a movie for quotations sake
I meant stop using words like faggot and other slurs
I’m not speaking to you directly
I think you’re misinterpreting the situation. There’s plenty of language that’s fallen out of the common vernacular because it was intended to be offensive, was offensive, and is no longer seen as acceptable.
There’s no context in its history where the word in question here was ever anything more than derogatory. So…if he chooses not to use it that’s his prerogative. He also used a rather acceptable (arguably better) substitute…what’s the big deal? Doesn’t make him a snowflake or nothing.
No I understand the situation completely. Thanks though 👍
I think the situation is that he was told to not use the word, though he was applying it in the context of a quote.
Nobody uses it in that sense and you know it
And the last time it was commonly used in that context?
Also fag means cigarette in Europe.
We give words their power and meaning.
Stop getting insulted by it, and it losses its negative power.
It honestly isn’t a big deal. No need to make drama outta nothing. He was quoting a fricken movie lmao
Thanks for understanding! It’s not rocket science, not sure why some don’t get.
Amen
Preach brother preach
At one point in time it wasn’t offensive.
He said it always Was.
I just wanted to prove my point that we give words their power.
And they can gain and lose it.
Exactly! The word itself doesn’t matter. The context and intent of words matter.
What is the context in Predator '87?
Indeed.
