Exactly! So in the context of the movie it is not intended or directed as a slur. It’s intended as an insult in the vein of “pussy” because no one partook in his offering of chew.
There are reasons why people are racist. Some people are just ignorant and have never been around certain ethnic groups, so their perception of those groups are largely shaped by what they see on tv and stereotypes.
Educating these people and exposing them to different types of people could help them with their racism.
