This literally isnt a git gud situation. About 65% of predators i play use it, and its about 80% un-parryable. Not fucking around. I did a private match with my friend for a test. He swung at me directly from the front, and it wouldn’t let me parry. Secondary and primary attacks. Both weapons.
A lot of people here can agree with me that the axe is overpowered and probably bugged too
It currently is bugged in that if you whiff a light attack but hit them with a heavy it will combine the damage of both. With the right build it will down any class in one hit. That’s what makes it OP and it should be fixed, otherwise it’s not all that bad. Most of my matches have not been against it and for those that do have it they get killed quickly as that’s their only strategy.

I don’t see the point in using any melee weapons tbh. Maybe the odd claw from behind here and there, but not excessively. All I’ve seen since I’ve been back is the hammer spammers or combi stick.
Try to not be the one getting hit. I use my random spuds as bait most of the time if I see a Zerker or Black, because I know they will be melee focused. Let them rush in on a teammate, then give them the ol’ SURPRISE MOTHERFUCKER with Duelist 1101. Its worked a number of times so far.
But yeah, if you’re the one they target, you’re pretty much fucked. I’ve raged at axe users too, I’m done with it, and I even use it lol. I like having a distinct advantage over most teams, but not so much of one that I can end the match in two minutes if I so chose.
(side note: last night I did a round with Valk/Ghost/Axe, got on mic when I found them and was like, “excuse me, gentlemen, but may I “axe” you a question?” and came leaping in, downing one right away. One of the others went and hid behind a tree and promptly quit out. I love this game sometimes.)

Even if you miss with the heavy but connect with the light attack, the damage stacks. Literally one shots any class.

I also hate this axe with every fiber of my being and the fact that nearly every noob runs it with a berserker or that PC’s run it to appear like absolute god’s. Like no, no. Even when hell will freeze over in my book you never will be good using this one shot weapon.
And before anyone mentions anything. Let me tell you I tried dancing around Pred with it and even with two good team members you often get whipped by them. Why? Because this crap ass weapon still hit me while I jumped to the Berserkers left or right side.

I made a Scout Ghost with the Axe to see if it made the Spec worth to use with Scout and let me tell you

And at least this way I still have the super low HP pool when they can hit me that is

On a Scout I rather find it impressive and not annoying.
Because it takes guts to use this weapon on low health class.
If I ever encounter you and get killed with this build, you’ll have my respect for it.
The annoyance for this weapon mainly focuses on the tank classes.

I’ve ran a build like this for Scout and it is scarily fun, and I say that because its absolute high risk/high reward. If you’re up against a good enough team, you better make your hits count.

Scout is my Favorite, I have 4 different Scout Builds as a result 😝 its just the only Predator that has the mobility and build versatility I crave. Even though its got super low health and can’t bring a lot of gear it just works for me. Plus if all 4 FTM are shooting you then you gonna go down pretty quick no matter what class you choose so why not have the most speed and stamina possible to maneuver around them? best case scenario you make them miss and use their ammo 😂
