Was doing ok before this patch. Not sure what it is, but it seems that I’m just running from FT 90% of the time. They see me, they’re fast, and they cancel my cloak.
Might need to put the game away a while.

Run away spamming plasma caster as the last bastion of hope for pred because he lacks options vs a good FT entirely

It’s not entirely your fault. I would have to see a video, but that’s just what this game is now. It was FT Hunting Grounds before the specializations, but now it’s just fucking funny.

For me the cloak was the same after the patch …
I heard that they change the full invis about 10 meters. Good change, it should be 70/80 in my opinion. Cloak is too strong at low level and absolutly useless at High level , what pred needs is more tankyness and damage , specially from range.

No im pretty sure u can be spotted from anywhere in the distance… i kid u not it happened everytime for me…

No it’s still full invis at 60. You can mark over other marks so basically if some one marked you he can keep do that even across the map but that was also the last patch. If you see the laser or the leaves dropping down from the tree of course you can shoot and mark.

It was already possibile. But it affect only low level. In high level you can even playing without cloak for the entire game, it’s useless. Because you are forced to play close/middle range because long range is not viable too easy to counter and get behind coverts. Pred needs more hp and range damage for high level. For low level of course is different.

But you could already do that in the past. Btw I dont know how it can affect randoms. For high level letting that or not will not change anything. Again, I dont know of it could help noob predators in pubs. I still want to see more hp and range damage.
Its not the matter of winning or losing here for me with or without cloak changes… its the thing with feeling different and feeling good about myself as being the stealthy hunter predator is… in the movies he rarley ever got spotted lets be honest here… and he could have ended them all anytime he wanted to
Talking about the Predator 1987 movie where in the director cut which has all actual scenes that didnt get cut out… u can see predator POV of how he observes them without making any noise or them noticing him even if they looked straight at him they didnt see shit…
But yeah in all honesty the cloak needs to be worked on a bit more so it actually has creepy textures of transparency and also that u cant actually spot him from distance even if he is jumping and shit… only from close proximity or like a tree next to you lol…

In all honesty all the changes i asked for illfonic to consider were just there to be neutral for either winning or losing to be honest… even you said it your self that cloak mostly does not matter in matches but then again for me only time the better cloak changes would matter is when i feel bored come home from work n shit… i wanna slash and feel the thrill of a murdered
Also in the film Pred didnt get melted in 2,5 seconds by one ft member with one knife, but it is what it is. Just move on, this shit will last for other 3 months before the next update with a new confirmed fireteam content and probabily more buffs to damage, like up to one shot SAWZ and they might remove the Bow from the game. Just move on like many people have done. I have been playing Cod Mw and DBFZ , on January there will be a new update so I am waiting.🙂

What if cloak worked perfectly at all ranges but it drained a lot quicker.
That way good preds against good FT will have a useful cloak but bad preds against bad ft’s (in theory) won’t have perfect timing and mess it up or at the very least only have a short window of opportunity befire full visibility.

I don’t think the cloak is the real issue. The issue is the FT damage output. Putting the predator down in 1-2 seconds of sustained fire from ONE PLAYER makes no sense. Not even including the other ass wiping gear they get, and that there’s 4 of them (actually really 7 if you want to get into that…).

My lad, I’m in the same boat. Every time I think I’m improving, Ft get a bunch of new toys and buffs and I have to learn to play all over again. The other night, I played against a ps4 pre-made, and only got 1 claim. They lit me up every 2 seconds it seemed. Now, don’t get me wrong, they were very good, very organized and knew it. I earned that 1 kill. Afterwards, we spoke for a few seconds and we all got along fine, no harshness.
But, yeah. Being a Predator is extra difficult now. It was challenging before, but now its painful.
Plus, as kind of an experiment, I was helping a fellow on the forums here level up one night. He ran Viking, I mybfield medic so we wouldn’t die so early and he could max his xp. My one SMG clip dropped him nearly to SW. One clip from an SMG vs a Viking running impenetrable. Silly.

No its much harder then it was already to beat FT even unorganized decent players walk through Preds now, the jungle is a rough place and winning is a bonus these days I just keep hoping for Pred Teams to drop and a Big Fat Bug Fix, in the meantime its time to adapt or get melted, tho in its current state the latter is much more probable

It’s alright homie. A good ft will route any predator. What I recommend is take advantage of your plasma caster and mobility to jump to a new location and pepper them then keep jumping. Never stop to actually engage. They either have to stop chasing you or lose off not completing there mission
