I think the samurai sword is OP! I love it, but hear me out

The dash is so strong, and if you time it correctly a parry attempt by FT gets massive punishment. The combo is massive!!! I barely notice the stamina drain. Bleed is just the icing on the cake. This bad boy is the superior weapon for preds, and it feels bittersweet somehow. An Earth weapon is absolutely top teir. I feel like Sephiroth or the Blind Samurai dancing around FT. I’m not bragging, i credit the weapon! I challenge you to prove somehow this sword isn’t the best weapon for wiping FT fast. It’s actually forced me to use other tools though, to seem less like a bloodthirsty asshole. xD

(EDIT) I realize also that this might be soly based on skill level , and at higher play level this sword might have some exploitable faults. I doubt it though!

Good. FT deserve massive punishment. Combstick is better for single target damage with the classic toss n slap.

Yeah definitely! Don’t nerf the samurai sword, just buff the crap out of that caveman club. Actually just redesign it entirely. Pred should receive a healthy arsenal eventually, hopefully

I don’t know that the club really needs a buff. Then again I’ve never really spent time with it yet.

exactly! No one does. They use it once and never again i bet. Just like I did! It’d be cool if it was extra effective when used by Zerkers, and had different, ‘buffer’ animations

The reason I haven’t used it is because I’m mastering combistick and smart disc atm

That’s a fun set.

Elder Sword is pretty great I guess, but it seems easier to parry, like combistick. It’s hard to tell sometimes, in a game where the Pred is going to always seem OP in the right circumstances. balancing this game must be tough.

I hope we get some exotic weapons from pred lore, becuase although i like the samurai sword and all it’s tricks and raw power, it feels kinda like I’m not even playing a pred anymore. I might try getting used to the trash club just to surprise people. Good luck parrying something you encounter once in 100 matches

OH snap i forgot that the Alpha Sickle was an option. Still at lvl 87. Is it serviceable? Slick new style yes. Very edgy.

Needs either speed or damage boost. Atm the blinding effect does very little to the point it doesn’t matter and the speed is so slow that it can be parried easily so the last hit that’s unparryable is not even a threat, also that last hits tracking is just the worst in the game.

Elder sword is better. And much harder to party. That’s what scrubs are using to get easy wins. Try it.

Club is even worse with parries. People don’t try to parry wrapons. They just parry spam so a slow weapon with hogh parry frames will just be evwn easier.

At this point the only valid way to parry (since the weapon wheel is bugged, at least on PC) is to do a quick melee attack with “V” (default) and then transition into heavy attacks. To wait for the button prompt get’s you killed =))
