Yes it’s about the code. For the alpha Predator. That is included only in the first run of toys. That’s why the 2nd wave doesn’t have the code. That’s why there were 2 different prices for the same figure. There is absolutely zero implication in this article that it would be available later to all. Zero. It’s saying hurry up and buy our toy if you want to use it in the game because it’s available (exclusively) for a limited time.
I think they should release the 87 Predator skin already
I didn’t know there was a price difference, or even if that is a reflection of the codes inclusion. That’s a different thing, I’m not going to debate.
The paragraph however is about the Alpha figure, not the code. The words initial and limited release apply to the codes inclusion with the figure.
They do not imply the code is only available with the initial wave of figure or that they will be limited release.
Ugg.
The code and the figure are one in the same, man.
Why would it not be about the code when that is the selling point of the toy?
No they are not, digital property and physical property are not the same thing.
You’re right it’s not implied that it was limited or exclusive. It was clearly stated.
In the context of this article they are the same
The code isn’t the selling point, it advertising.
Everything in that paragraph is about the Alpha figure, it is it’s own thing, the bonus for the one hundredth figure was an gimmick to increase press.
The twitter from illfonic was to clarify, that’s all.
If you were saying it looks like a bunch of stuff got shuffled around because of time constraints and need for content. That the Alpha was really supposed to drop later, I’d agree.
I think the plan was always to drop him though.
The code was 100% a selling point to get gamers into collecting NECA figures. And for NECA collectors to get the game
Yes it was advertising for both parties. It wasn’t exclusive though.
I bet NECA is going to get another figure in the game because it dropped to soon.
It was marketed by NECA as exclusive. They even put a sticker on the box that says so.
I believe someone already covered the sticker with you.
Poor design though.
By cover I’m assuming you mean spout nonsense of how the word exclusive doesn’t actually mean exclusive. It implies it will be released later. lol
Well if you can think about it. They could either release it later on like a anniversary of the game or not. My thought could be that instead of it being free and 87 dutch being released they could make a 87 character pack for paid dlc and make more money that way to keep the game alive. I didn’t preorder and would love the 87 Hunter for everyone but at this point of playing. I’ve just been burnt out on the game. With Illfonics lack of communication and all the bugs they could at least do something. Even then or increase the level cap to get jungle hunter or someone else like Dutch make something a better paid dlc than just a younger Dutch since we already have the older one
But I’d rather have a game that works better and at least more useful content than getting 87 hunter
I love reading these threads about wanting Illfonic to go back on its word. I also love how the ones without throw around toxic buzzwords to prove their point. “People who don’t want it handed out are just entitled” is just another way of saying “I feel entitled to something I missed the window for”. “The people who have it are just greedy.” is “I’m so greedy I need it.” Any words you use on those who have it, apply to yourself as well.
We do this everytime. Stop trolling with your lies.
For those who don’t know, the Sticker says that the code you might have got with the figure was exclusive (Which means that the code could not be gotten anywhere else, besides someone reselling it after they got it from the figure) and it allowed you to early access the Alpha Predator. It never said that the Alpha Predator class and sickle were exclusive.
It said the code was only in the initial run of the figures in the U.S. (this is the real reason alpha became free to all) That makes it exclusive to those that buy the toy in the initial run. This figure was the 100th anniversary for NECA and this was supposed to be an incentive for purchasing the figure the same way pre ordering the game got you jungle hunter.
Also I am fully aware that illfonic stated later it would come to all.
The Code the code the code the code the code the code the code the code the code the code the code the code the code the code the code the code the code the code the code the code the code the code the code the code the code the code the code the code the code the code the code the code the code the code the code the code the code the code the code the code the code the code the code the code the code the code the code THE CODE
Yes. The code. The one that unlocks alpha predator. The code was exclusive. It only came in the first run of the toys…in the United States.
As with all paid predators the weapon is the only part that you pay for early access.
The sticker says that the code is exclusive. It says nothing about the class or weapon being exclusive.
And you didn’t pay extra for the code. It wasn’t a DLC like the rest.
