Not much physical gold and not as precious than to know arts and crafts in order to bring you out of extinction and be able to rebuild and knowing old ways in terms of practices of arts, engineering, medicine, architecture and other sciences.

I am sure a blacksmith (metals) or a potter(ceramics), aglass artist (as in artists, craftsmen), engineer, builder, mechanic, doctor, nurse, architect, mathematician and other sciences…meven a damn plumber are more important and vital to rebuilding society if there is chance to, unlike your “block chain ♥ NFT” bullshit.

If I were you, or anybody on this forum, I would invest in some practical and pragmatic set of skills as well. You never know what the future holds and how plebs such as yourself can be “caught by surprise” or with their pants down in terms of survival and rebuild.

This has got to be the single stupidest thread I’ve read so far this year. Arts and crafts ain’t gonna bring you out of the apocalypse. Survivalism and trades will.

I’m an avid survivalist and apocalypse prepper, and you have your mentality all wrong (or did a poor job of putting it into words). The trades are not fucking art. You can make art with trades as with anything, but knowing how to make a knife or an improvised firearm so you don’t starve are necessary skills. And having that knowledge will be useless without the other side of the coin, knowing how to survive on your own for extended to indefinite periods of time and utilize those tools.

For example, knowing how to make forged art patterns and all, but kinda fucking redundant if you can’t make a good survival knife with limited metal, fire, and tools. And I’m coming from real life experience. I forge and have friends who do, and 2 of them can make beautiful forge art but can’t make a shank to save their life.

A public decentralized record of transaction that isn’t limited to the internet & can’t be tampered with was always the contingency plan. There’s already a phase 2 for whenever the hell we figure out quatum computing (never).
Blockchain is a military invention, first and foremost. Being able to publicly store memes on it and send them to space on a block next to nuclear codes is just a bonus so I can flex on you.
