Idea for balance (giving the Predator more pred cred)

-Since the FT has the ability to stick together and be an almost unbeatable turtle if well coordinated: definitely the case with pre-made PC teams;

-Given the fact that such Teams can and will also easily chase and kill the Predator when he’s wounded, and that full invisibility when healing/recovering from second wind is not a reliable defense. [Worst case being: full pc coordinated FT vs Playstation Pred]

-Given the fact that the Predator is the one who must kill all the opponents in order to win, thus being already incentivised to engage multiple times during the match and discouraged from hiding.

-Finally, and this is a personal opinion, given the fact that seeing/playing as a Predator that has to be running away for more than a few second and has to hide in fear of being very easily spotted and killed by humans, can be exciting but most of the time breaks the immersion, both when playing as the human and as the alien

Suggestion:
->>>intruduce a “safe” area, (maybe like a space ship/ pod?) that spawns where the Predator spawn point is, so that the player can, if he wants, get there and be shielded OR defended for a little while (e.g. by plasma turrets that only activate when the Predator reaches them) when he is on the run.
This way aggressive FT players would naturally be less prone to go after him and incouraged to complete their mission, which should always be their main goal

Giving pred somewhere to run away and hide doesn’t address the problem, just encourages running away and hiding which isnt really engaging gameplay for the FT they just have to go rush objectives with the free downtime.

Simple fix is introduce bullet drop for the fireteam. No more getting point and clicked without FT leading shots so they aren’t going to chase something thats out of range. Would be a good buff to trees also.

Introduce more objectives or ones that require splitting. A half decent FT is going to run in and disable all the alarms and then never break line of sight of eachother ever again while one guy kills AI and the rest spot the pred.
Speaking of, remove AI from the fireteam map unless they’re shooting because AI are already terrible.

Personally I’d rather they give more optional objectives or time sensitive objectives with fail conditions that affect gameplay for both teams. Gives some decision-making and variation to fireteam gameplay rather than racing to complete linear objectives in a vaccum that dont affect the pred whatsoever.
You don’t know how much I wish that drone strike explosion started a fire or acted like a massive permanent thermal nade.
What are our chances of getting open/closeable doors? We’ve got a skylight. More buttons and switches and interactable/dynamic maps plz

I just don’t agree with this part, as anticipated in my main post: Shy preds (usually beginners) will hardly ever/not engage at all anyway, so it doesnt change anything for them; everybody else that has an interest in not losing simply has to engage, regardless of having a safe spot or not

This is a great idea. But it would change gameplay quite a bit and, even tho I don’t know this for a fact, sounds more complicated/unlikely for them to implement.

Actually, I think in a sense you are right:

While you do technically “lose” as the predator when the “fireteam escaped” happens, you don’t really have any major drawback, except less xp if you didn’t kill enough.

So to address this they could combine the safe spot with, for example, some debuff or loss in veritanium for the predator player when he doesnt kill/claim at least, say, 2 ft per match for too long (just random suggestions to give the idea)
