Illfonic used IPs people LOVED.
They surely aren’t going to have the customer support for this one, since it seems like a bit of a dive into an ambitious project.
They have a FANTASTIC track record of delivering underwhelming games attached to huge IPs.
Guess they are just gonna make a half asked game without burning down a franchise and peoples love for it.

It seems pretty clear this is why they’ve moved to a 2 month release schedule. Aside from the lawsuit fiasco that is. Then again the lawsuit is probably the reason why content drops will be even lighter because whatever the outcome the time with the brand is finite. Predator would need renegotiation and Illfonic likely won’t do that since the hype for the brand has died down a bit. Whether that means October is the end and we end up like the people over on Battlefront 2 I don’t know but I’m guessing October is where things stop. However I’d imagine they would want money especially given the new title so Hunting Grounds may very well survive up until the lawsuit says otherwise or the game gets closer to launch.

This announcement doesn’t surprise me. Very little has gone back into the game. The funds have been funneled into other projects—and it’s blatantly obvious.

Yknow those games that release in the first year of a new console or piece of tech that end up in bargain bins? This is what that looks like.
Also rather bold to only be on ps5 given they are still incredibly hard to simply buy. Mark ups aside (and eat shit if you’re doing that fuck you) the stock simply for a ps5 simply isn’t present and so you’re cutting off revenue from an existing install base. I’m taking it back, I have no idea if that’s bold or dumb.
Also also, you mean to tell me that THIS is what they’d been working on rather than implement fixes or much requested content for HG? We had to wait a whole year for just Mr.Black’s helmet but you can funnel all the resources you want into that?
