Illfonic, can we talk 18+ and why thats important?

So with this game being 18+ @Courier , we need to know what direction this game is heading because your player base is secretly allowing peoples as young as 5 years of age to play the game!!!
I’ve played dozens of games where I was talking on the mic with some young feller and i felt a sense of insecurity amongst myself.
This game shouldnt be like this!
This game is violent.
This game has graphical violence that should not be of the weak of stomach.
This game is based off of a film franchise that prodominantly was rated R.
So…what is going on here?
the state of the game requires a certain amount of respect for this 18+…otherwise, the game taints the respective franchise with misconstrued content which otherwise might be aimed at an unsuspecting audience.
If we see or hear UNDER 18+ people…what will this amount to?

I dont want my devs suddenly releasing child-friendly dlcs. Keep kids out or ignore this demographic because I swear those shaders are breaching contract!

It boggles my mind that people (parents) are just letting this go undetected!
And to me, based off of the content in DLCs, all i can say is that it is leading to an underaged audience.
Which is NOT advertised. and is affecting the core audience members expectations.

We need an official statement to this. And i for one would be involved in signing a petition on keeping this game unique to the original franchise audience.
Otherwise we will see this game go to shit with TOO MANY cooks in the kitchen stirring up a recipe for youngens.

I want to keep this game HOT STUFF for the core audeince. Not luke warm or watered down for the Saturday morning kids with nothing to do. They don’t BUY the games, their parents do!

I URGE EVERYONE WHO PLAYS AGAINST A CHILD OR WITH THE CHILD ON THE MICROPHONES…
to report them or their account ASAP.
I WANT TO SEE A CHILD-EXPLOITATION REPORTING SYSTEM! TODAY!

Because these incidents is a fiasco. Needs to stop.

Well, if you get a pink predator in the next DLC. Its going to be because they let ME down. Just maybe, if you liked my post or ALSO agreed with me, then maybe we would get a drooling killer of a design.

I fully agree mass , this game is rated 17+ and you can tell there has been people on here younger than that .

I doubt its as simple as having age verification, its not really on illfonic to make sure kids aren’t playing the game but the forum is their responsibility as we have seen over the past days.

Now I have a kid who games , would I let him play a game like this with me? That depends , but parents should be taking steps to know what their kids are being exposed to.

Realistically, the wider the playerbase the better for these companies, but I dont see a way around it from their end . Most kids probably use parents accounts etc and I doubt a large portion of parents even use parental controls .

I have allowed my son (13) and my daughter (8) to play the game. Only my son has played online, both Predator & FT, but mostly FT. You will never hear him screaming, but I guarantee he smiles when he wins matches. My daughter loves killing AI with her pink/purple Valkyrie. She also smiles when she succesfully performs a silent kill, or when she kills AI with the disc. They smile because they’re having fun! Are they violent kids?? No! Not even close!!! My daughter might be the sweetest girl in the world if you get to know her. They do understand it’s just a videogame! Am I a bad parent for letting them play? Most likely! But you know something? If I have the chance to see them smile, I’m not gonna waste it.
