Illfonic encouraging Preds to wipe FT out quickly

Well, more accurately, by continuing to not raise the level cap that many of us reached months ago, there is no incentive to ‘stalk, hunt & harass’ as these XP generating tactics are worthless to 150 level players. Sure, many of us enjoy toying with FTs and stretching matches out, but it’s not a great idea to leave it to the discretion of Pred players to make the games last a decent amount of time.

There have been plenty of times where I (and I’m sure others) will just go ‘fuck it’ and wipe a bunch of obviously new-to-the-game players out super quick, because hey why not, whereas if we could gain something from stalking them, and thus give these new players a better experience of the game (making them more likely to play more and spend money on DLC, Illfonic!) we’d be more inclined to do that.

So yeah, Illfonic, you are actively harming your own game by not taking the simple measure of increasing the level cap and implementing some sort of reward system for high level players. You need to…

Couple with the fact that aside from seeing people that do not have specializations you don’t know how good any of these people are so you have to treat them like they’re great so that assault deadly or support field medic, they just get smoked immediately without even figuring out if you can stalk or hunt or toy with them.
When the fire team could obliterate you so fast you don’t have time to see if they are worth it or not just get them gone asap.

I’ll toy with the last two that may or may not try to go to the reinforcement I already trapped…

I agree but not for the reason youve mentioned.
Typically if I see obviously new players il let them complete the mission.
They need xp more than me.

Plus if they’re struggling a lot they arent worth me killing them.
But that’s just me in every game.

However,
By having the missions be so easy and quick to complete, we really cant afford to stalk and observe the ft.

If we tried playing that, we wouldn’t even kill one ft member.

So I would say make it so no mission can be completed In less than 8 minutes, or even 10, and leave the rest for time to escape.

Maps are small, chopper negates the timer, so 5 minute escape time will be perfectly fine.

Also, fix the a.i. so they start spawning properly,
But make them smarter and more dangerous.
It’s kinda lame how these are supposed to be missions vs a highly advanced group like stargazer, get, you fight such boring easy enemies.

From the Dev’s point of view the easiest thing would be not to change the mission setup/length - just make it so there’s a set time before the helicopter can be called. If the FT storm through the mission, they can then spend time either trying to kill the Pred, or concealing their location before the extraction point becomes available.

That really wouldnt fix the problem of missions being too easy and quick tho. I get it would be easier for them tho.
But I want the missions to actually be a challenge.

Not for nothing but if ft finishes missionsnquick and stay mudded up the rest the game. Well then they out stealthed the predator

I agree with @Fire with extending the timer of missios OR giving each mission an additional objective or two

i mean yeah, long game does not favor the predator at all, the fact that a great FT squad can finish certain mission in less than 3 minutes is proof of that. so guys dont be surprised if you see Predator player wipe you out in less than 4 minutes, its nothing personal, its just that if we dont we are screwed badly.

PREACHHHH

Player retention has never been one of their goals.

You’d think they at least give us max level players some Veritanium bonuses. Nope. How about increased drop rate for rare loot in those field lockers? Nope. How about fucking anything?

“Here’s another broken and overpriced DLC character instead!”

They’ve got another one comin right up!
