As the title implies, they are focusing too much on player skins and characters instead of balance and new content, 3 maps and 1 game mode is all we have, new content should be their priority not characters in my opinion. The game was 40, but launched with minimal content even for thst price, Illfonic needs to release new content and fix the game, not add skins and characters. Hopefully soon too, else this game will unfortunately go the way of Friday the 13th. Once again this is my opinion, feel free to let me know if you agree or not. Paid DLC for just a character and 1 gun doesnt seem worth it either in my opinion, depends on the price though, I’m hoping personally nothing over 15, anything more is an obvious blatant rip off.
Illfonic is making the same mistake as Friday the 13th. Agree or no?

I hope there is, but based on their track record, I wouldnt be suprised if they just ignore what the community wants and just shovel crap at us. They need to take a note from Battlefront 2 playbook, that game was crap but I would say is on par with the classic BF2 now or close to it. Illfonic, I hope you read this, because if battlefront 2 could do it, so can you, just listen to the community, stop deciding what we want and actually listen to what we want.
They’re supposed to add some news guns, maps and game modes in future free dlcs. But the question still remain, when ? It might be in july…

As a 36 year old gamer, this is the worst i have seen considering they have SOOOO many other examples out there on how NOT to handle a game.
They are now just milking their consumers, the game barely works and this is where they spend their time, a pointless paid dlc so they can cash in.
Bad move, this game needs maps, balancing, more cosmetics and this is what you decide to prioritize? Paid dlc in an already shallow game?
Well atleast we now know they their intentions are.
These free patches better be fucking AMAZING, or im sensing some large media is gonna cover this and it wont be pretty.

Hopefully mate somewhen soon even just 1 map on the 26th may to tigh us over will do cause the maps we have now well just getting abused as in fire team/predator knows key point areas and locations its fucking boring lol and the mission woooooooow are bat shit crazy boring.
I think basically they are not hidding from the fact that they need their fans support to keep working on the game. I don’t know what they do with their money, but it seems that they can’t do much with the game purchases only… anyway this is how it feels for me. It’s not bad it’s just that we live in a world guided by money !
Your absolutely spot on mate, saddest thing people will still pay for the dutch stuff not lieing i was going to purchase it but to only play the same boring and routine missions and maps no thanks im bailing out lol

Based on the information they have released so far, it is not clear enough to me what exactly they are releasing for free vs selling or how their DLC model will work.
Part of that is also me hoping that bug fixes and the like are going to be part of this, and they are just not sure on those details yet as fixing issues can be quite tricky.

I’m not certain but I don’t think programmers do much with cosmetics.
I think it’s too soon to tell at this point @Tranous . A perfect example, for better or worse (depending on your point of view) is the original Destiny: it’s the Poster Child of paper thin Content at Launch that eventually developed into something truly special with Taken King’s release.
If Hunting Grounds was in this exact spot 8 Months from now, I’d agree with you. But as it currently stands, Hunting Grounds is only two and a half weeks old and will take some time to develop. While Friday the 13th was slightly rough around the edges overall, Illfonic gave it some solid Update treatment.
Wait and see before judging further.

I played og destiny too, for me a better example is battlefront 2 personally. I know how old the game is, but that isnt an excuse for the minimal content, 3 maps, 1 game mode, that is pretty bad.
What successful asymmetrical games have more than one game mode?
