As toxic as this forum may get, I still feel Illfonic should be providing answers to serious direct questions. Instead, I feel like they are scared of having to be engaged in a serious conversation about the state of the game and the current mental state of its playerbase. When they answer questions on twitter its done in a very safe way ,that doesn’t provide any actual dialouge. Then that random twitter post, that we would have to go out of our way to find is considered communication to some of yall?

What about direct polls on here, without the ability to leave comments from us? How about you ask direct questions with limited text fields so its easier to read through them? Or what about just a semi weekly, whats going on in your lives? Etc…

Illfonic is the parent/owner of this situation. Dont run and hide because the kids are angry, Figure out a simple solution for constructive feedback. Some of us showed up with excitement we havnt had for a video game in a while. We got all excited to be met with Marty moose at the gate.

Let’s be honest here, the only reason they even reply to messages on twitter is because most of the people on there kiss ass the Devs.

To be fair, I really hope to blame Sony for most of their problems. I hope in the end Sony is the abusive parent and illfonic is the older sibling who couldn’t let the younger kids see how bad it was.

i.e. Rushed deadlines, outside corporate commitments (Neca), Sony probably dropping the ball on crossplay etc…?

It just sucks being left in the dark with only little whispers of what’s happening in the background.

They have stated before they they are listening to the forums. But if we are using the parent analogy, you don’t reward bad behaviour with attention. The forums are filled with people screaming for things they both want and don’t want, having their hard work thrown back in their face, people who don’t understand how things work are making demands than don’t function, and people who don’t play the game are whining about how they feel about the game. You don’t validate their attention seeking, otherwise, it will become a worse problem.
