@OldKingHamlet @Courier listen it’s safe to say your company has done a horrible job at making announcementa to the player base, instead you have gave some details at the last minute. As a company communication is key to your player base, and your forums lately has gone south real bad. idk if it’s your bosses or if it’s sony preventing you from keeping people in the loop, point is you need to Improve on this, what is the point of this forum if you use social media from time to time but not the this? also if you have known bugs it would have been more effective if you guys did a hotfix instead of waiting for the next patch.

They need to understand that alot of people do not use, or ever want to use, FACEBOOK or TWITTER or Instawank.
This is supposed to be the OFFICIAL ILLFONIC forum. Yet we never get any OFFICIAL communication unless it’s some bragging about the latest DLC. We are nothing but cash cows to them.

I want to know why the news comes the day of the update
It hasn’t happened before… Why this time?
Because there’s a last minute surprise or the notes will give something away or there’s paid dlc and it’s mentioned in the notes.
This is the first gaming community I’ve engaged with. Are all official forums like this? Are all games developers like this?? Did I expect too much?? I imagined we would regularly interact with the designers and developers, help shape the game and iron out issues swiftly. But to be totally ignored unless it’s payday…

All forums are usually toxic so I just think after some time the devs get tired at looking at the same topics being posted like “illfonic gay” or “give me 87 or choke on my cock and balls” so that’s probably why the mods don’t bother looking or replying on some days

Yup pretty much, dont go to the Dead By Daylight fourms this is tame compared to over mostly everyone is entitled survivor mains. And if you rank 1 that means your opinion is fact and no one can disagree with you.
And Overwatch and League Of legends…dont get me started.

The actual reason is I’m “way mad busy while working from home and dealing with the fact that all internal communication takes a lot longer, plus the miscellanea of my actual job means I’m already working on stuff literally for next year”. Sometimes I’ll disappear from publicly commenting for a while because I’m working on stuff way far ahead, and the last thing I want to do is get a fact slipped up and drop some news that wouldn’t be relevant for you guys in terms of months down the road. You guys would love it, but the repercussions would be unfun.
We are working on improving our outbound communications, but as we are working with a very valuable IP, I want to make sure my actions and the actions of the team are fully vetted and don’t cause undue heartburn for basically everyone. This does slow us down and means we (in terms of community responses) cannot often give definite answers until things are released or announced, but this also means we’re on that challenging balance point of sharing as much as we can, when we can, cause we’re gamers too and all of us want you to enjoy the game as much as we do. And unfortunately while we can’t share all of what’s next, hopefully what we can share will get you guys as excited as we are about what’s coming up.
