Illfonic Please Read This (patch 1.06)

I have no idea why you would release a balance patch after the game being out for 7 days. It takes time for people to play test things and give genuine feedback. All you’ve done is appease low skill/casual gamers who find it difficult to do more that run straight at the FT and spam Melee.Your game has literally devolved into even more Berzerkers who just melee spam mindlessly to victory. You’ve literally made the Predator a bullet sponge which completely counters the combi damage nerf.

I’m a Predator player, let’s get that out of the way. I’m not a biased FT player. The problem is the game needs to be enjoyable for everyone. Including the FT who just get shit on at this point unless you run Support. That’s the opposite of balance when one thing is clearly stronger than others and theres no variety.

Playing the Predator is absolutely boring now it’s so mindlessly easy. Go tank the FT with your Scout. I do. The thrill of the hunt is completely gone because the prey doesn’t stand a chance.

I’m not saying things didn’t need adjusting but you over did it.

Please stop listening to people who go on your forums and complain who haven’t even figured out how to charge the plasma caster and say it’s useless.

Way to early in the games life for such a drastic patch and I fear you may have driven off a lot of FT players with it which is good for none of us.

over did it? they was still wrecking me from the trees and spotting me i tried ranged weapons plasma caster and bow i managed to get some fully charged hits but did i down anyone? nope. did i hit anyone with the bow nope. they didnt over do it at all. the pred was always the prey not the other way around. still is with this spotting and how crap the cloaking is.

You hit with a fully charged plasma but didn’t down? Nope. You missed. Cloaking is shit? Nah. It’s you.

Um… dude… first, YES, they nerfed the PC dmg so a full charge shot doesn’t kill it just pisses them off. That’s not skill or not knowing how to charge it’s legit fact and in the Patch Notes! As opposed to movie and any other game where a fully charged pain in the ass to land shot blows through even a Support-Heavy Gunner like Blaine. It hits hard but doesn’t track, is obvious to see, and moves slower so chance to dodge. That’s always been its balance.

Second, Cloaking is shit but only because of how the Spotting works and the Pred giving away its position by making WAY too much NOISE like it has no idea how stealth works. The clicking and gutteral growls need to be an optional speech wheel thing or at least very reduced! Right now having deaf or oblivious FT is the only way to truly be stealthy.
