In probably less than a decade cloud gaming will be the shit and people will not even need a “good PC” to play games.
We already have Amazon Luna, Google Stadia, Nvidia G-Force Now, PSN Now, Xbox Game pass and you can bet your ass more will come in the next years.
You can play on a laptop or a smartphone and probably in the near feature with smart tv’s as well.

This will probably be the only time where I actually can agree with you on that
ShadowPC already has a native phone app and you can download whatever you want on it so it’s miles ahead of the curve, but you’d want one of those android controllers with it or bluetooth KBM if you’re really trying to play on your phone.
The real issue is the upkeep costs on their end and the fact it’s $30/mo and SteamDeck’s probably more viable for the people without unlimited ISPs.

Hmm…maybe not cloud gaming for this DX12/ASUS FSR thing or the Nvidia equivalant is catching on.
People who already have a really good video car that can run 1440p at medium to high settings will probably be in the best position not to need to upgrade any more but we will see where this digital upscaling technology will take next gen games.
I really want to game at 4k without having to upgrade anything else even my CPU is an agreeable type.

it is very sucky. you get to play a great version of arkham knight at 60fps on a thing the size of a playstation portable. You might want to thank your wifi for not fucking up that night. Because thats all it takes for you to not have a terrible game, its whether or not your wifi will not fuck up. and it will.
cloud gaming is ass. there is no way it will ever be good.
technology only gets better dude, not worse. it’ll get there, it’ll just take time. Nobody thought we would have faster speeds over wifi than over ethernet… and here we are with 5G networks peaking at 20Gbps when most consumer boards don’t even have 10 gigabit
