Words have power & the meaning behind words is often created by the perspective of the user. If I were to hear things in a language that isn’t my fluent language or I’m unfamiliar with until I know what the meaning of the word is it has no effect & looses its power as a word It would just be sound. Like unfamiliar noise but it’s not until we know what that words means then that’s when it gains its power back.
This is how humans communicate we agree from the start of our culture that this word means this so we can understand one another in our language. It’s also easy to trick people that don’t speak or are unfamiliar to one’s different language or culture but when you find out & learn what those words mean then that’s where words get they’re power by understanding what they mean.
So if your not offended by a word that doesn’t mean it’s not offensive to other people. It means you don’t find it offensive or it doesn’t bother you & that’s okay good for you 👍 but don’t down play what’s happening here just because you feel a certain way.
