Illfonic sucks ass

Enjoy

if i’m not mistaken it is the PC way to use no medic, no tracker etc in privates as that is what most top/better PC players always say. i assume that is just amongst yourselves and not when playing a PS predator though.

As far as I know there is no universal "PC code of honor " …every group makes their own rules

From what I know, in privates, most don’t run support, fm, dante, pred doesn’t use disk

I tend to find that funnily enough.

Not very often do you see a Support Leader and a Dante Fanatic come out against Samhain.

Meanwhile poor old me is a different story🤣

The people that use Dante and suporte use It vs everyone.

The only group that always banned that was ny team

Thats more of a think the people that I started playing privates with had as well as letting the pred player host

he knows this

that was just what most of the better/top PC players that i saw always said and that was when i played so i just assumed it was still a thing. Even on PS the predator has to host private otherwise it is just tedious trying to use the projectile weapons, Predator has to host.

I did win against them before. In this match, I would’ve been able to secure that first kill if they didn’t have that field medic.

Actually, I didn’t know they were going to use field medic but it is what it is.

Gaming ethics depends on the player. If you’re a top tier player and you know what’s unbalanced in the game, then you should know better than to use broken builds. In my opinion, a player should know how to play fairly without the game telling them to.

That’s a point of view, and I respect that. Problem is that it is an extremely relativistic matter. For example, in addition to the well-known and established fact that FM and tracker perk are unbalanced, I find that in some cases main predator players (I remind everyone that I am one too) use unbalanced loadouts, or even exploits ( animation cancelling, axe, high DPI disc, etc) in public matches even vs mixed random teams, with no one protesting or outrage. I find that a lot worse, “ethically” speaking.

I reiterate, and I think I’m consistent here, that any discussion that isn’t about a controlled environment and tournament-level competitive play is meaningless.

What’s the reasoning behind high dpi disk movement being an exploit

Being able to do maneuvers that make the disc 10x times deadlier using an external hardware modification. I’m talking about pro gamer mouse here and not the in-game dpi slider.

Riktig, whom I know very well and is a friend of mine (kind of member of our western europe team), one of the deadliest disc preds uses it. Top1orbiter too. When I want to troll in pubs I use that as well

I don’t see that as an exploit.
Dedicated DPI button was on mouses from 20 years ago. I had one for Counter Strike in 2001, I used to change my DPI depending on the weapon I used.

Atm I have three different mouses and all of them have a dedicated DPI button.

On more expensive mouses, you can put any function you want to any button on your mouse, have different profiles for different games etc.

Flying the disc with 6000 DPI gives you a better manoeuvre, but good luck hitting an arrow shot with that DPI.

Being in the market for 20 years doesn’t make it automatically legit.
6000 dpi disc is a whole other weapon , it doesn’t behave like devs intended to: it lets you do 180 turns that instakill downed FTs, it gives you 10x times the maneuverabilty , it gets less frequently stucked on objects. And you only achieve that by externally modifyng an in-game parameter.
Counter-proof? If dpi wasn’t changable in any way, NOBODY would use disc whatsoever.
If this is not an exploit, then I don’t know what an exploit is. Devs already clearly stated that animation canceling is an exploit, imagine what would they say about 6000dpi disc , LOL !
When you want to change back to normal dpi, just press the mouse button (as you told), so I don’t understand the argument about the 6000 dpi bow and arrow problem.

Yet they fail to do anything about it. Ultimately you have to put the blame on the devs who allow such things to be possible in the game. Yes, as a player you have the option to be “legit” or not, but when it gets out of control the best thing to do is just stop playing. I don’t see why people keep playing this game just to keep complaining about how terrible it is.

To each their own I guess.

DPI is highly dependent on screen resolution, the lower your resolution, the lower your DPI can be to achieve the same effect.

So, somebody playing at 720P with 3500 DPI is akin to someone playing at 4K with 6000 DPI.

Do you consider lowering the resolution of a game or playing in inferior hardware an exploit too?

Or simply playing a different game

I play at 4000 dpi on 720P which is the equivalent of playing using 8000 dpi at 1440P (https://www.admiralbumblebee.com/general/2017/12/08/Transfer-mouse-CPI-settings-to-a-different-resolution-device.html)

I can land bow shots, sniper shots and have a decent accuracy. As with most things, you just have to get used to. I apply the principles of my guitar playing skills and do small precise wrist movements rather than arm movements.

It takes me about 4 cm of mouse movement to move the cursor from the bottom to the top of the screen when playing at 720P

I also have a rather cluttered desk most of the time and I’m lazy, so Iimit my movement rather than organizing the desk every other day, lmao
