Do you play solo or with a team? Solo, yea it can be pretty rough sometimes, but even if you have 2 very good players and two noobs against a semi competent predator your killing them 9/10.
Illfonic we need to talk.
If illfonic moved into the big pharma field and created life saving medication, I still wouldn’t entertain taking it even on my death bed .
It’s just a joke
The joke is your pred play.
Love you
You’re telling me you don’t want to play as cosplay ghosts instead of Slimer? Smh
😧
Kids these days 🙄
Holding back the urge to say what got me suspended in the first place. I don’t need this shit I’m going home.
Fair enough.
Back on track people. Members of the community would like more communication from the developers.
Genuine question, what do you think the chances of that are when they have went on to two other projects? This will be at the bottom of their priorities? Time and resources have and will continue to be prioritised elsewhere.
Sorry to say , but I think that’s pretty obvious and does explain how it ended up here . The new mod won’t just be allocated here ? So in my mind , they have been brought in for the next two projects and this forum is a side gig to those? Why else after 18 months is there a sudden call to action on here?
Your point is taken. Could easily see that Illfonic felt this forum was a failure of some sort or another and the new mod is essentially “training” to keep better control of future forums. Also easy to consider with the idea of Ghostbusters in the works and Arcadegeddon ready for full release this months update will be the last of content released for PHG, thus rendering the forum nearly obsolete outside of bug reports.
If anything this would be the most crucial post then for them. Some might consider their lack of communication and “no news is good news” approach a huge problem… Which makes this a good learning point for them moving forward to Ghostbusters.
It has been on my mind for days , I see peoples complaints about lack of communication, 100% accurate.
I need to ask though , how does lack of communication cause lack of bug fixes? Or complaints on how they said the game would be true to movie lore etc?.
“The trolls are gone and now things can get done and fixed” , are people actually implying that whenever someone had a laugh on here , that their SOCIAL MEDIA employees ran all the way down the hall and took them away from such tasks? To worry about a forum? 😄
Lack of communication doesn’t = poor fixes
Lack of communication doesn’t = out of place skins thats straying from their statement of “true to lore”
Lack of communication doesn’t = bad stability since release
And 100% “trolling” on a forum doesn’t = stopping a developer from fixing their own mistakes .
Besides “derailing” a forum thread? THIS COMMUNITY IS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH ILLFONICS MISTAKES OR HANDLING OF THEIR PRODUCT.
I like how its all turned on the community who were the paying customers , rather than the people charging for the game and making a living off of it . Thats called deflecting.
They had no problem communicating to announce a new game , there was no communication issues when making false statements on the game prior to release either , the “lack of communication” reared its head when people noticed things weren’t quite what they were led to believe and bug reports started to roll in once the game was purchased.
It’s like I said before, I’ll elaborate further though. Acknowledgment of the bugs, problems, and complaints, do not fix them no. They do however provide a modicum of assurance for the customer that there is a care for their concerns.
I’ll use my industry for an example as this is very common in it. Say you drop your car off for repairs. Leave it at the shop. An hour goes by and they call and say “hey, we found these things wrong. We need to fix this and this to keep the vehicle safe and running right.” First two things people respond with are “how much does it cost and how long will it take”. If the answer to that second question is “as long as it takes”…or worse, the question is dodged completely, you have an unhappy customer.
Even better and more accurate. You pick your vehicle up from the shop, drive 10 minutes down the road and something goes wrong with it. You call the shop back and say “Hey, you just fixed my car, now I just found this is wrong with it.” and you’re answered with “Hold please” and left on hold pretty much permanently.
Mate , if you were an employee at a garage you would be let go if you compared your performance as a mechanic to the fixing of this game.
You certainly wouldn’t take those customers off hold to offer them the chance to buy car accessories for the car you struggle to fix , to then make out they are in the wrong for wanting it fixed
Visit the Arcadegeddon forum. Hardly anything is discussed other than the game. Bugs/glitches are addressed and i would think they are fixed in a timely manner.
There was a discord forum formed after the release of the early access version. In part, it was because the forum seemed inadequate in someway. But that does explain why there’s less traffic too.
Also, with that game they have more freedom to do what they want or address what player want.
Missing the point slightly. Most garages are the techs working on the vehicles and the customer service reps interacting with the customers. A huge part of the customer reps job is keeping the customer informed and letting them know their problems are being attended to. Now obviously big difference between a vehicle and a video game, but the job principles aren’t all dissimilar
It is what it is , I’m too disinterested in these people to care enough to use reserve energy.
Its over , two upcoming projects and this one isn’t magically going to turn around now and 24.7 communication isn’t going to change a thing mate
This is just not comparable.
Your industry is basically a service industry, where a game is just a product purchase. Comparison would me more like recalls from car manufacturers.
For $40 at launch… when most games cost twice that, what were people expecting? I always compared this game to an early access game, and my only complain is that it was never marketed as such, when it should have. The price is right there with early access games
Sounds like you’re setting yourself up for disappointment.
