In alot of ways. It already was pretty balanced, even at perfect shots the FT that has eyes would just move. They see the laser, and GOD FORBID us for landing a downing shot on someone who isnt paying attention, thats a big nono?
You see, the PC was great, easy to avoid. Now its useless junk. Meanwhile, snipers still do crazy damage to the Pred who already has VERY limited healing abilities.
This nerf was stupid, hands downs.
Well, right now we have a bit more abilities to heal ourselves - there are really many pigs around after the patch, and it seems they give us a full bar of HP now. At least for Scouts.
P.S. Bows are much more imba right now that a PC ever was.
Yeah! I felt the same way… I played scout and PC’ed a lot of FTs to bits :) but i’m kinda afraid to say this atm :)

Can’t be. When the predator was wildy firing at Dutch in the final act in the trees - THOSE were fully charged. HUGE explosions.
Had Blaine took a fully charged shot like that he would have been turned into pulp and smeared over the land like jelly.
Idk that’s just what the script said apparently, isn’t it possible that plasma weapons like that have a different effect on different surfaces/materials/ etc etc?
I really don’t think it’s conducive to the topic for us to argue about how make believe weapons would react in “real life”.

Not saying that the game should have real world logic to it just saying that if real world logic were to be applied as some people have stated before (probably not on this thread) while also referencing the movie on how a PC could kill someone in one hit that it would be a death sentence to any of the FT.
Alien tech or not arrow through chest or getting hit by a disc capable of cutting through several frozen cow carcasses pretty much means you’re fucked.

No it wasn’t, sniper could take your mask faster than you could down them. Now it’s a joke, no viable long range options Bow dmg is still shit, war club is still shit. So much for balancing.
With bow you can still be almost invisible (really) if you don’t move and just shot them down. Almost.
I don’t think the Combi Stick needed the nerf because you should be able to play as a melee-oriented Predator if you want. It wasn’t as OP as it everyone made it sound because you could significantly punish a Pred who just blindly rushed in and expected to down everyone on the first go. I’ve seen it myself from both sides.
The Plasma Caster nerf also took away a ranged Predator’s best option. It was also a good defense against knives and parries.
This patch took away the best options for playing as a melee and range oriented Predator.
C’mon people!! You’re complaining about nerfs and buffs even though we’ve been BEGGING for them in these same forums.
When will you people be happy? I’m just gonna say it. Never. This game is NEVER going to please you needy assholes.
There is a thing called BALANCE! When they buff certain things, they also have to nerf certain things to keep balance in check. This is normal. Instead of complaining about the patch notes, play the fucking game, and see how it works. If it doesn’t work, come here and ask NICELY for a change. The amount of people on this forum acting like the devs owe them an overpowered predator is ridiculous.
Crash down you sound like someone who hasnt played enough fireteam to have formed this kind of opinion, the charged bolt should have me running for my life so that the uncharged shot can stop me if it takes most of my life I’m not looking for the pred I’m looking for cover and why would you want them totally downed so you cant claim any trophy you need 100 for a game trophy
I’m in agreement here with him. I’ve only gotten into one match playing as a Scout predator but I could instantly see the difference in my survivabilty going up.
Also the bow change was excellent, now we can actually charge the bow and line up a good shot without it firing off right away.
I fared better in the latest match than I did prior to any other as a Scout. Maybe it was a fluke but I’m hopeful that the predator is in an overall better state than before. Just my 2 cents.
People keep thinking they’re playing a movie when they’re playing a game. News flash the game doesn’t exist if both sides aren’t happy. They took away a bunch of heals to pull off the pressure of having to quick kill. But you still want it easier. How did successful predators exist before the patch who didn’t spam PC and comb stick? Isolation, baiting, and waiting. Dudes right. You guys will never be happy be cause you lack the fore site to see beyond yourselves. This game is doomed.
I meant one shot each, trust me it was op because it was the easiest way to take them down, I fell victim to this so many times so I’m great fall when playing as the FT and as the Predator I can’t play dirty. The predator needed this change.
Devs Revert this change ASAP Please.
