Illfonic you done messed up... how dare you!

Seriously this game is so broken and such a disappointment. Unless you release some new maps then buff the Fireteam and Nerf the pred and the handheld plasma caster then you have failed us all. Especially taking a vacation before fixing this dumpster fire of a game. How. Dare. You!!!

Hold on a sec

I’ve seen this before.

Nerf pred

Are you kidding me nerf the fireteam I have played 7 matches and still can’t kill fireteam as a berserker because of the annoying parry system, and calling in reinforcements just makes your kills useless. If anything the predators need a slight buff.

Dude
did you not read through some of the thread
it’s our little inside jokeđŸ€«

I think giving the fireteam a parry was a good move BUT I don’t think it should be as strong as it is. TBH it doesn’t make sense that an average human could parry a war club swing from a berserker predator based on timing alone, especially when it is exceptionally larger and stronger than even the strongest human we have to offer; much less with a small combat knife. now it could altered to be more realistic like basing it off of the amount of health and stamina left by each combatant as well as making it slightly different for each Pred Class.
Full health Full stamina FTM has more options for parry then one at half health or lower stamina as it would take a significant amount of Strength to parry a Predator with any sort of success anyway, which you would be lacking if you just took a combistick to the chest with the force of car hitting you after running at full sprint with a 50 Cal in your arms. And TBH it wouldn’t be that hard to balance.
Predators are easier to parry in general granted FTM is at full health and full stamina, gradually decreasing parry ability as health and stamina declines; but the same would be true for the Predator which would harder to parry at full health and stamina as opposed to half health half stamina. Then you add varrying degrees of change based on the actual Predator Class being used as well as the weapon being used. Wristblades would be tied directly to the amount of health and stamina the predator had at the moment as that makes the most sense they are attached to his arm (its as close to being able to punch a FTM as were gonna get) and then based on which Pred Class its either easier or harder
Scout-weakest melee easiest to parry
Hunter-average melee average difficulty to parry.
Berserker-strongest melee hardest to parry.
Then moving onto other weapons.
The more stamina it takes to swing a weapon the harder it should be to parry the FIRST SWING(strongest returns obviously from a FHFS Predator) after that it should decline as does the stamina of the Predator to balance spamming and making combat in General a more tactical experience overall. The risk/reward for weapons could go like this
Wristblades- high/low
Katana- mid/high(due to bleed effect)
Combistick- mid/mid
War Club- low/high(because this Should be the strongest melee weapon)
And these values obviously could be altered with perks adding further mix up to the combat and further reinforcing a more Tactical Play Style on both sides.
I personally feel like this would solve alot of the nerf this buff that convo as a majority of encounters happen in CQC anyway and that is where the most devision of opinions and bitching lie from what I’ve seen.

I completely disagree with your sentiment on the predator being OP.

I am shredding predators as fireteam almost every game. Yes even those with the plasma pistol.

I’m running a build of Dutch with an AR (usually the SCAR clone but it doesn’t matter so much), a minigin, health styrettes, frags and smoke. And perks are Yautja’s Bane, fast hands and action hero. Nothing but a berzerker can get close enough to down me or a very skilled player.

I had an experience last night where I had a hunter down my friend so I mini-gunned him while he was trying to claim, when he ran at me i parried then stabbed him and put him in second wind. The guy starts screaming “what the fuck how did you get me im the fucking predator?!” As if I shouldn’t have been able to do that, so I told him what I did and how it worked and instead of learning from that experience the kid shouts “fuck you” down the mic.

I play as a two with my buddy and we usually get the randomers follow us as they can hear us coordinating. So it all tends to work out in my teams favour.

I do get the occasional predator who actually knows what he is doing and rips me a new one (Dragos_UA for example), but they are few and far between.

The “balance” in this game comes from the fireteam being stronger than the predator when all four players work in unison. When they don’t the predator can eliminate the weak links in the chain and overwhelm the better players because they don’t have fire support.

As it stands, either all predators need a buff except for the berzerker or impenetrable needs to be buffed to give scouts and hunters the chance to be less squishy.

I don’t want to be the dick who cries “get good”, I only consider myself above average at FT but honestly- if your experience with the game has made you feel as though you need to come to the forums then look at how you play.

It may not even be a lack of skill on your part it may just be your strategy. Watch a few blood thirsty lord videos, guy is pro at FT and PRED 👍

Relax brother we were just having some fun with our fellow forum members. Don’t take the ‘nerf this, buff that’ comments seriously unless there’s more to it than that.

What sucks about the parry is that it stuns the predator and that’s ridiculous, a fully grown predator should be able to demolish a tiny little knife with his staff, war club, or wrist blades.
