Based on my last post about. Claiming bounties I have a comprehensive list of some point values and how they can be expected to work.although in no way am I trying to push any agenda of mine on the developers beacause they are professionals they have there own ideas and its sometimes irks me when people get too whimsical or spcific with things they want to see.this gudeline is more specific compared to the last post so that people will be able to more easily identify if they like core concepts of the idea and how it wpuld affect matches.
Alot of these numbers have the potential for greatly increaseing the scores depending on how you play amd if you play twords a more defined yutja code even though I’m not sure how well defined such a code is.
Whats proposed will doubble the scores of certain predator players who follow a more “hunt” based code but will not affect players who dont pay attention to all systems of the game makeing a well defined score diffrence between these two types of players.ive left out any changes that I think would require serious amounts of writing codes or adding animations etc.also just adding simple number increases should not affect performance of the game…hopefully?
·downs- worth 300 points twords a predators claim for dpwened player. On downed player Nets the predator an additional 1200 points in total if he downs 4 players then immidiatly excecuted. Up too the traditional max of 3600 points if he downs 4 fireteam members 3 times.
·revives- worth 300 points twords revive
In the case of these two values, though they seem slightly high when totaled together there needs to be a very clear differance and this is the only way to insure that things show a very clear point discrepancy for players interested in proceing themselves that way.
Melee- melee does not reward any additional claim increases, also damage taken already rewards points.
Parry- rewards an imcrease on claim amount of 200 per parry. Parry can be extemely scary since against a good team even one parry opens you up considerably. In the case you were parried 20 times one match it would let an additional 4000 points, switch to ranged at that point.
Healing-rewards points. Equal to the amount healed times 2 If you heal 50 health additional 100 points. There are other changes here that add alot of comppunding potential point gains. Healing is consider a secondary action since pred has no control over it. Still something should be done to give some kind of small compensation twords healing.
Plasma caster- fixed amount of 100 per hit includeing splash damage, headshots doubble value.
Bow- 120points per hit headshots doubble value
Smart disk- 130 per hit, if headshot capable headshot doubnles value
Plasma pistol- 60 per hit headshots dpibble value.
Tracking claim status (filling the red bar above people by aiming at them) can now be reapplied immidiatly and continually and adds 200 points per application.you will still have to fill the bar 100 percent each time
Spotted-adds 50 points to spotter claim
Radio- radio user adds 500 points to there claim status. Respawned players will have there claims reset.
Net guns- rewards 200 points on slapstick or ground stick,otherwise no change
Bear trap- rewards 150 points on snare
Motion detector- rewards 35 points per application.
Target isolation rewards 100 poimts per scan. I wpuld also appreciate it it tgt iso showed player names above there head… Just saying. This is to encurage pred to choose to use tgt iso to up his score but possibly leaving him without isolation to locate FT memeber who havent mudded up or are currently mudding after a team wipe. Usually necause theres no other use pred will use this to hunt boars pr after killing 3/4 fireteam members. This will force predators to have a trivial layer of choice in spending tgt isolation
- important* proposed change Only long claims and stealth kills reward full claim bounty amounts. Quick claims reward 1/2 points
Killing AI and completeing missions now awards higher point bonuses so kills award 50 poonts and objective completions award 200 points.
So the biggiest changes here are tge changes to downs, revives and parries. These reward the most point benifits. Secondaries changes are the rewards for ranged combat. Keep in mind that ranged combat will see a person constantly and consistantly applying the tracking claim status and earning ranged damge bonuses. Since the wait times are god awful for pred this will help good preds feel like they still get good points.
This is all contigient on someone claiming tgere targets.
(These are some fairly average stats If a player is dowened once revives, once completes two objectives, kills 12 AI, gets shot 8 , has tarcking applied 4 times,times heals half health twice, parries once,spots 4 times then is defeated and long (600) + 200 +600 + 400 +400 + 200+ 200 +300+ 200 he’s now worth 3100 points if long claimed. X 3.5 = 10850 as bonus points.) This represents a fairly long average game. As the bonis applied on top of regular points gained
(If a player gets jumped on and combi rushed parries twice downed gets quick claimed hes worth 350 pitch extra. 350 x 3.5 1225 as bonus points.)
This represents a short game as bonus points on top of regular points gained
*3.5 beacause we will expect 1 peraon of four to be quick claimed, also of note is we are not calculating reinforcements
These were my initial calculation based on them I went back and roughly doubbled values for ranged combat and allying tracking and .5 increase to trap effectivenezs but dldid not produce a new math.also increased amount of points for down and revive to heavily encourage going for and allowing downs and revives. Reson being is that trickle down amounts will not be enough make people think about useing this system. Considering predator wait times coupled with factors such as how people do not necessarily Care about scores at present, and that this system would also be rewarding twords FT though in a round about way this could potentially be a adjustment that benifits both FT and pred. This is a long weite up focused on how tweaking aspects of an overlooked system and includeing nuance in that system will help the game as a whole.
