I do really enjoy my old beater of a 4Runner for what it’s worth. It’s a 20 years old 4th gen with the V8 and full time 4WD. Previous owner didn’t maintain it for shit, so I’m doing a better than factory restoration and repair in my free time for shits and giggles. Just recently put the finishing touches on the underside. Had to derust the frame, hit it with rust converter, & then finally an off roading undercoating, and put new splash guards on it.
I only need to fix the 4WD low frozen up, replace the O2 sensors, replace the busted left tail light, fix an exhaust leak, replace the drivers seat foam, steam clean the carpet, touch up the center console silver paint, replace lift-gate, and put a new coat of paint on it. I’m gonna have a busy summer.
