In defence of the paid DLC

It makes sense that Dutch is paid DLC because if you manage to get Arnold to voice in your game I’m sure you’d want some profits I just think the problem is that he was released to early and that we should have gotten loads more updates before this

I think most dont care but the price is a potential problem. Should be no more than 10 bucks tbh especially for what you get.

Edit: to clear confusion I say this because its illfonic I dont think its actually worth $10 at all.

There’s no way it is $10. Imagine releasing a skin and early access weapon for 1/4 of the games price… people would go fucking ballistic. $5 - $8, I’d say.

all most people really want is consistent bug fixes and minor balance tweaks. All I want is a patch.

Its illfonic dont be surprised by the bs they can pull. If it was any other game I’d expect a $2.99 or 5 price tag but idk on this one chief.

The DLC being paid isn’t really the problem. It’s how Illfonic decided to handle their communication towards everyone who owned the game. If they were more vocal about the issues they’re working to fix and were like “By the way guys, we’ve been talking about bug fixes we’re working on but we also want to introduce this new paid Dutch DLC”. I don’t think anyone would be annoyed at all. This is basically how it went from our perspective.

  • Illfonic releases the game
  • Player base notices a ton of bugs and asks for a response
  • Illfonic makes posts about mothers day bows and shit nobody cares about
  • Players ask about cross play invites and bug fixes
  • Illfonic makes posts about people enjoying their game
  • Players ask about cross play invites even more and further bug fixes
  • Illfonic posts about their paid DLC

At that point people who have been having issues ruining the game want nothing more than to tell them to fuck off, and rightfully so.

That doesn’t have anything to do with anything. How about I spray paint predator onto a junked car with no wheels and sell it to you. If you have any complaints remember I’m not trying to be your girlfriend experience.

In comparison to the competition out there, Fortnite is doing extremely well PR wise . Game is free.
Theyve updates and DLCs all the time and they are around $20 ,
