How about instead of health for the pred you have armor meter. It would make damage done by a knife alot less but after the armor is depleted a single knife stroke should do. It would be more authentic I believe.

Hmm, interesting. Damage to all armor and weapon (Like Plasma) wich can be destroyed to the end of the match. Well, this can bring Arny vs Pred knife 1x1 battle in late game. Need to think About it
