Is America a democracy?

It’s an oligarchy

It only has meaning in comparison to other ways of governing. You say “mob” as if that’s well defined. I would say majority rule. What are the alternatives? Theocracy? Dictatorship? Oligarchy? “Mob” has a negative connotation, but shouldn’t the majority rule. Would you rather have a small number of people making the rules for everybody else?

Id beg to differ, its mob rule in that you have the culture being changed in a certain direction which is causing a lot of youth to hate the country and calling to change the constitution…if we keep moving this way eventually the youth of today will be whos running the country tomorrow and if they already wanna change how america has been then i think you can see where this is going.

Were supposed to be a constitutional republic meaning we abide strictly by the constitution and are supposed to operate within the constitution. So being were a constitutional republic even if the majority favored changing the constitution or bill of rights it wouldnt happen. However the state of things now has brainwashed ppl into thinking were a democracy and it sewms like were so far down that road theres no going back.

Also making rules is the problem in todays day everybody wanna make legislation which only makes the government even bigger than it is

That’s what amendments are for. The founders knew that they couldn’t foresee the needs and opinions of future generations. That’s why the Bill of rights were added to set the example for amending the constitution.

Sorry bro, no offense to you I hope you don’t take this wrong but if this is wut college tought you then i see why were here rn. It was clearly laid out and why it was so. Now a days you have the schools and lawers trying to find ways to go around it then passing that down to the public. The gov. knows they can’t forcefully carry out wut they want so they work with big corps to do it for them while alsi using the propoganda machine to “re educate” the public but more so the youth.

This is a domestic threat and were being led to believe it is for our best interest when in actuality its not. The foundation laid down for the country was simple and straight to the point, but you have these snake in the grass ppl influencing and trying to reinterpret it when its really simple. If anyone is advocating for bigger government then they are either ignorant or willingly supporting anti American values.
