I am on 60mbps and only have a phone and tv hooked up and my laptop but when I play online I am always experiencing some hiccup in matches and sometimes they freeze and the game rubber bands a lot.
Is it my internet or their servers?
console or pc? also whats your phone doing when connected any streaming devices netflix etc on the laptop?? rubber banding is usually desync packet loss or low frame rate
Console and i am not streaming anything or downloading anything and low frame does make sense
wired or wireless? yeah i bet its frame rate. on pc i cant even run this on max settings. the game will crash. and ive an i7 cpu with a gtx 1070 … lol. 8 gig of vram. and it kicks the gpu upto a temperature of 74 degrees. and the fans kick in automatically. its badly optimised this game. any other game i can run max settings without a hiccup.
wow that is some impressive spec and i am here moaning about my ps4 pro haha but yea i agree it is poorly optimised, do you think this will be fixed and made to work properly across all platforms?
Usually both but there’s more to it on their end.
idk if they can it might be down too the engines limits or constraints they can try but theirs only so much they can do. and yeah it took me a while to build buy all the parts at difference times. not cheap … lol. i would like to think so but console might not have much luck to them optimising it … im glad i didnt get this on my ps4 my god if the fps is that bad. during the pandemic might be the reason too thinks are harder for them or who knows really they dont communicate much
Well i am guessing after people go back to work etc then the servers will have less stress as at the moment a lot of people, are off work and trying to play at the same time and either Illfonic will improve what they can to accommodate all these players or just wait out this lock down to just use what they have already got thus save money etc.
who knows i hope so because the matchmaking times suck … lol
also forgot to mention the hardware of the consoles … may not be upto the job even if it should be. its all down to what illfonic can do though with optimisation … so yep. the onus is on them i suppose
just played another game and again it started off smooth then started rubber banding so i turned it off and went onto COD and no problem. it just their servers they are poor and like you sad poorly optimised for the consoles
Don’t worry, it’s poorly optimised for PC as well. I have a Ryzen 2700X and GTX 1070 ti.
I can run call of duty warzone at 120-150 fps, apex legends at 200+fps (on low settings for competitive play)…
Yet this? I’ve got everything on low and i still at times have fps issues. Only way I’ve found a way to have “smoother” gameplay is to set shadows all the way off… But it makes the environment look completely different, even the colour scheme. Turns potato.
The fps issues are only in the main areas, if you go to the outskirts it’s fine. However, merely looking towards huts and camps and it just dies.
yeah i would say so probably. smh. maybe that is a server problem combined with low fps. i wouldnt want to deal with rubberbanding either
