Is it OK to use macros in this game?
Here’s another video of a guy explaining them, including the Hollywood notion of carrying them around and shooting them.
if we are going to allow miniguns because is plausible, then bump fire hand guns should be allowed because is possible, just sayin’
either way, posted a video and the macro is actually useless, as fun as it is, the recoil is too bad… so all those times I was unloading the clip on preds, I was actually nailing just a few shots
I am just saying miniguns that you can carry around with the power source exist, nothing more, nothing less.
There you go. Not currently being tested by any military and not available to citizens, and it’s been in the prototype stage for three years.

Shoots the same bullets as Dutch’s gun, but yeah, it somewhat begins to defeat the point of a mini gun if the caliber gets too small.

Eh…weapons like that are more for suppression than actual targeting. The point is the keep the bad guys down and in one place so another element can move to flank for the kill

Turning guns into fully automatic weapons while the player that plays as the Predator has nothing similar in his arsenal to apply this.

Now I get why in one game I had 3 grenades landing on me in just 1 second.
It was again from a team that dan3800 and thunderwolf were part of.
And it surprises me because I ve seen videos with dan3800 and his usual crew and they seem like decent people and really skilled players!
They should be careful who they let play with them.
The macro is useful for 1 pistol. the first one, nothing else to do with them, you can’t throw grenades faster.

But this is the problem with some people saying that its ok to use macros.
It makes you doubt everything that happens in the game.
The game is designed to work in a specific way.
Guns have specific fire rates.
If you use macros to shoot at predators faster, while the predator cannot apply macros to make his weapons/ movement faster,
then you are going to get people demanding that Illfonic needs to “buff up predator”, when they dont really need to and if they listen to those people and they do buff up the predator,
then the game’s balance will be totally f**ed up for everyone not using macros…
That is custom game where you can change shit man, its also a bug when it goes into the negative. Check the number of grenades he has.
Macros are PC standard, every gaming keaboard and mouse probably has them and it even comes with software (like mine). Its like PS peeps getting hardware and software from Sony.
Its up to the developers to ensure that you can’t press faster then you should, like the net braking macro did and they provided a fix. Its only 1 pistol that a macro make it shoot to fast. A macro just make you press once and it its like you pressed it 5 times or you press 1 button and its like you pressed 3. I use none since I find none has ANY use to me in this game. I don’t even use pistols.
People don’t ask to buff predator because of the all 3 people in this game that even use a macro to make that pistol to shoot faster.
I am sorry but I’ve seen so many people in this very topic who really have no clue of the limitations of macros. Wow even provide in game macros but using a script gets you banned.
I agree with you that Illfonic should make it impossible to fire faster, either by macro or mapping the shoot button to the mouse wheel or exploits.
I really don’t mind going against skilled players and losing to them over and over, as I like challenges.
But I do want to be assured that no one is forcing the game to do things it was not designed to do.
Having a crosshair is a huge advantage dude. I much rather hit my targets with the sniper from a distance than empty 30 9mm bullets upclose where they can kill me. For someone who snipes, having a crosshair is the best you can ask for. For potatoes who can’t aim for shit, a crosshair makes no difference.
…this proves that it all depends on who you ask.
If I was given a choice between rapid fire or a crosshair, I would pick crosshair.

a lot of people tend to say “i can already do it naturally so why cant i use them”, but that’s pretty invalid
it’s not like bodybuilders use some sort of grabby hand or anything to grab heavy stuff if they can already do it
shooting was made to be fully manual, the macro is 3rd party software assisting you in the game (typically defined as cheating), i don’t understand why it would be allowed in this game
