I havent played in awhile due to IRL things going on and decided to read the forums and ive seen a mixed bag of opinions. I still want to play Predator but im Low key scared to even touch it.
Is predator still good or are people over exaggerating?

Has its bugs. But I still enjoy it. Its my top 3 played games at the moment. Really looking forward to the new map n mode coming this month. Hope it will bring fresh life into the game.
Fireteam is much more fun and typically more easy going than pred. If you’re trying to get back into it then I highly reccomend checking out the new and upcoming content whole leaning more towards playing fireteam
I think people are exaggerating?
There has been an uptick in FT competence/cohesion, but I’ve also sunk about 480 hours and some change into this game.
The ‘Medic’ perk is insanely good on pred right now. It cuts healing time by about 50%. Pro-tip: it affects Second Wind recovery too. If you combine this detail with ‘Large Pouch’ for a full 4 Recovery Kits, you’re able to take quite a beating as pred.
This is definitely true if playing with friends.
But there’s no denying the rush and adrenaline high of an intense pred game. MMMMFFFF

IMO, pred is still ok to play. Like you already probably know and understand, some days you’ll be kicking ass as pred round after round against easy FT, average FT, more difficult FT and then occasionally an FT group that manages to outplay you and some escape or all do, or you die. Just depends on the day you pick up the controller/keyboard.
Some days for me are great and others are bad match after match. Sometimes because of bugs and other times because I got outplayed.
I also do move around a lot more now since the introduction of Antibcloaking nades and the UAV, but honestly the UAV doesn’t really give too much info away for long. So it isn’t too bad against normal FT’s.
Don’t get me wrong, I love pred but as soon as I see them pull out those damn knives it’s net time. I’m not being parried today fuckbois

People will try to bash the netgun when it is used. But just ignore that shit. When I’m playing with friends, we call weapon load-outs (such as the net gun) the second we see it and adjust position/posturing immediately to start corner humping palm trees, light posts, fences, or really any thin vertical cover if there is a net gun in play. The tree will provide full cover to the net gun’s double-wide hurt box.
Yup. Its probably the easiest of preds weapons to completely counter.
Tbh i don’t even use netgun. I like distance fighting and only get close if i have to.
