I want to know if this game is going to be better on next gen meaning with the new controller haptics, better frames, or even ray tracing. This would be great to know if Illfonic would tweet something out about it because as far as I know they have not said much about next gen.
Is this game going to have any of the next gen features like haptics or ray tracing?
Honestly. James Cameron would be happy with higher fps and even a slight graphics upgrade.
Ray tracing is useless in game like this(Backwater and Excavation would only two that would benefit) it has haptic feedback allready( Like using bow, caster etc)
I would want adaptive triggers, from what I played of BL3 and Astros Playroom.
I don’t see PS getting even the same level of graphics as PC… Not even close. If PS5 is running on 30 frames (stable) there is no way they can amp the visuals.
Dude they can’t even get basic stuff to work. I’d be happy if it just didn’t cause the ps5 to burst into flames
They probably haven’t said anything because it just ain’t going to happen. Lol
How would you describe the haptic feedback on the controller? Is it described like a dynamic resistance thing which changes the pressure required to pull it? and makes resistence vibration?
Yes Sony have said that when you are we a bow you will feel the resistance of the bow. I wonder if this game would have that.
Haptic feedback is basically different intensity of vibrations to resmable something happing in game to corelate in the real world,
For exapmple lets say your pulling back your bow you feel the vibrations on the left side of controller instead of everywhwre its postional vibrations to mimick what you would feel if you were doing that action.
Adaptive triggers are basically having trigger stops or different instesity or more restiance when pushing down the trigger for example, when firing a gun you have to pull down with more force as if your pulling the trigger. I really like it honestly as alot of immersion to games that have it.
Its really hard to explain, its something best experience first hand
Heres a video that explain sorta of what I was saying.
And the resistance is software driven correct? Like when you’re not playing a game, will it revert to being resistance free?
there isn’t real resistance, is just varying vibration intensity to simulate the resistance feel, but there isnt any.
In order to have true resistance you would need servo motors actively pulling back, like the way high end flight yokes and steering wheels work
Yeah its soley based on the game.
But did you notice the click?
Hahahahahahahjaahahahahajajajajajajajajhhahahahahahaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahhaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahahahahahahah no
@Idek yo he wants to know if the game will have any next gen features? PFFFFTHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAH
No…it never will 😂
Took a look at a video and yes, it works (sort of) because it does have a servo motor moving the click.
Nothing like a belt driven servo motor on a steering wheel, but is not like you can ask for something like that on a controller.
My own personal preference, I rather have no resistance at all. As immersive as it can be I prefer no distractions and limits when I am playing. But that’s my personal preference, everyone is different
