Is this it?

Dose not matter where - give the IP to them and they will figure out the best time and location to blow fans away
Idk why is their cinema so good - mayby there is no dependancy on China? No WOKE? Idk man, it’s just so much better

I find alot of the lower budget movies are actually better these days . There are some stinkers but you get the odd gem . Studios are so out of touch

I dont think this is going to effect the game in anyway!

Disney has no rights to the game so it shouldn’t be a problem.

It would be interesting to know either way , the deal for this was done around when disney bought fox , but from what they make out it was started and changed during the buyout

We’ll see. I don’t care, tbh. I despise the capitalist notion the any IP should belong to anyone but the masses.

They own the rights to the name Predator and everything associated with it

Think again

They have been working on the update since before today’s deadline so that is likely still ok

Going forward is going to be a different story though

Unless Disney buys the brothers off which is very much a possibility

The Brothers are also investors with the game. They may be a silent backer but they still backed the game. So maybe thats the reason they need to be hush hush about it cause they knew of the lawsuit pior? Maybe

I don’t think they have had anything to do with Predator since the sequel

Disney has never lost the rights to anything ever and never will.
They literally have copyright laws changed at will.
You don’t win legal battles against disney unless somebody died.

Corporate wokeness is a seperate issue and literally every corporation does it as part of late-stage capitalism and identity politics, its free brownie points, lazy and entirely the fault of social media letting everyone virtual signal with the push of a button. Shoving everyone into their own little boxes and letting them argue about it as a distraction is an Animal Farm tactic.
Lets be serious though Fox wasnt doing any better with Shane Black regardless.
Franchise hasnt been relevant since P2 not sure what Disney even sees in Fox, probably thinking they can make another MCU situation happen.

Oh yeah I love Russian movies lol
Both invasion attraction movies were awesome

Their first time is comming big

That can be arranged…

What needs to be added - every US corporation. You will not find a single Russian film studio doing it - hence my point, their movies are much more better, makes more sense. Also, I have already stated:

If the brothers are successful, they would only have the rights for future movies in the U.S, disney still own everything else . So my thinking would be that if they object anything disney plan? Wouldn’t they just make their movie from one of their studios in another region? So even if they win they lose?

Also it would be interesting if they could take their rights to another studio in America and do their own thing simultaneously? So its going to be like Sony and marvel , jumping between studios like spiderman and venom ? Except its not quite the same due to pred being the main name . So who knows

lol copyright laws would sooner change overnight than Disney lose any of its IPs. Look at their lobbying history, theyve extended their own copyrights to literally a hundred years and can just pay people in congress to sponsor bills.

People dont realize they have most of the top lawyers in the world and they pay them ridiculous sums of money for just existing on standby.
Entering a legal battle with disney is one of the dumbest things you can do and they’re more likely to just fly in to threaten you and settle it out of court.

A hearing date has been scheduled for May 27th to determine if disney can proceed with their Predator projects

May27th? Yeah ok…that means forget about it. its probably never going to stop.

Even if it doesn’t

It only affects new productions

If the Thomas Brothers recapture the U.S. copyright, they will only have 100% rights of future Predator productions in the United States. All of the pre-existing Predator works, including the 1987 original classic film, will still belong to the current copyright holder (which is Disney).

I think this game would fall under previously owned production

We’ll have to wait and see what happens

May 27th

Mark you calendar

The hearing is open to the public too if you’re interested

Just no recordings or screenshots

What I can see is illfonic being barred from creating new Predators or other characters

Which might not be a bad thing… we still don’t have Wolf, Scar, Mr.Black, and others in the game.
