Isabelle DLC Theory!

As most of you guys know, Isabelle is the new DLC character to be added to the Fireteam faction. Myself and most of you guys had the same thought when figuring this out…”Why her?”. It’s a fair question to ask considering the main character of the movie was actually Royce, the one who was considered the leader and even killed Mr. Black (Berserker Predator) & the four armed Predator from the comics.

This is a pure theory, but what if Royce didn’t survive the hunting season? What if Royce was actually taken down by one lucky hunter? This could be why Isabelle is our new character considering she could have been the only survivor. Isabelle was mostly paralyzed by a toxin leaving her unable to defend herself or put up most of a challenge near the end of the 2010 movie and comic book.

This actually leads me to believe that Royce may have died, from what is uncertain. This makes me believe that Isabelle was still paralyzed during his death and when found by the Bad Blood Predators was considered not a challenge to hunt or was saved by the Honor Bound Predators to be released back on Earth. I’m just saying that Royce is by far one of the most recognizable and more famous survivor of the Predator 2010 movie, so why go with the second survivor if something happened to the first one?

Or it could just be that once Royce found a way back home, he wanted nothing more then to be reminded of his time being hunted. Granted any normal man would need therapy after what he’s experienced, so this could be a leading reason. Now this isn’t actually stopping us to believe that the Isabelle we are getting is actually her before she was kidnapped, hence why she knew so much about Dutch and what happened to him in the 2010 movie.

This is just a theory, but what do you guys think?

Because they were able to get her character rights from her actor.

So your argument is that they created this whole backstory purely just so they can Ditch Royce’s character. That makes no sense from Illfonic’s perspective.

That pretty much subsided by the end and was over in the comic if I’m not mistaken.

But why make a story about how something happened to the first and have the second when you can have the first and make a story about how something happened to the second.

The problem with these theories is what it’s answering. Your asking why Isabelle instead of Royce? But from a practical standpoint if there is a story reason behind it, it’s because they built a story around being limited to Isabelle.

It also ignores that even if it was his story that he got home but retired, it still makes no sense why they couldn’t just make his appearance non-canonical.

That makes no sense for her character.

A. Still out of character

B. Royce sacrificed returning home to help her. Why would she suspect him of doing it again?
