From the very beginning I never was able to join the session of a friend by pressing “Der Sitzung beitreten” (“join the session” i guess) below the game on PS4 (Pro).
Normally a message “Verbindung wegen Zeitüueberschreitung unterbrochen” (“connection disconnected due to timeout” I guess) appears, when I try.
Might that be due to the fact, that my PS4-account is connected with an epic-account and the hosts PS4-account is not?
By the way: the same problem appears when trying to invite others to a group or when others invite me to their group.
The latter just works with my (PC!) friend, who is an epic-friend of mine. Being PS4-friends seems not to be sufficient or seems to not work properly?
Today I had an interesting chat with a PS4 friend of mine, who and with whom I have this problem since a long time. He says, that whether he can join a session or not depends on the host.
There are hosts, whose sessions he can join (always) and there are hosts, whose session he cannot join (ever).
So, basically the same for me. Why is that? Any idea? Is that said epic-account-linking stuff??
Maybe this is an interesting question for our Illfonic guys @Courier or @OldKingHamlet too? Do you know about this?
