Jumping up trees instead of claiming skulls

Whenever I press square to claim a body on PS4, my Predator will start climing the nearest tree. Dead annoying when trying to claim whilst they’re bleeding out. It’s like the game thinks I am pressing X instead when I’m definitely not.
