Just a quick history lesson
Makes ya think they’d try harder with this game before going for Ghostbusters. Now there’s a licensing hell I’m sure they’ll manage to survive the same way they did here; sticking to the barebones of source material to avoid lawsuits.
I commend Illfonic on developing a game title with such a massive fan base. They definitely underestimated the crowd it would draw, but once they understood and began to resolve the issues, the mighty dollar stopped them in their tracks by way of lawsuits. They no doubt have a passion for the franchise and the game as soooo much work went into the development and so much attention being paid to all the details that the fans would really look for.
With that said, I suspect once the lawsuits are hashed out and they are allowed to actively work on the game once again, they will draw back the fan base with new content and updates to revitalize the series.
People blame Illfonic for what happened with F13 but it’s clearly not their fault.
It’s sad because not only we were going to get the Grendel along with Uber Jason they were also working on a boat and Manhattan map and they were going to reveal it by a third virtual cabin mode set on the boat. So close to some cool stuff only for shit to happen. Breaks my heart to this day.
This is a taste of what was being worked on.
Respect to the modders for restoring this stuff and for adding more.

Makes me wonder if that happened to an extent with this game. I jus hope it doesnt literally die out
