Which rooftop? The reinforcement rooftop or the warehouse rooftop? Because Reinforce building would probably be around 250-270 metres. Warehouse, close to 320-340 I’d say.
The way this game calculates distance isn’t as realistic as people think. When Izzy first came out and she had that whole “More damage past 50 metres passive” I started actually checking distance measurements with spots and from just the road outside the helipad camp to near the tree in said camp, that’s around 60 metres by the game’s logic.
Even Overgrowth which is the smallest map in the game, if you’re to run from one end of it to the other: that map is still larger than most Big Team Battle maps like Ragnarok in Halo, and those maps are designed with both ground & air vehicles in mind.
Like looking at them side by side, I’mma make a good guess here that Overgrowth is twice the size of Ragnarok. Zero excuse to not have projectile weaponry for FT, lies peddled by snake oil salesman.

Either way it’s not what you think. The way I have it in mind, it’s pretty much a different game, more balanced, more stealth focused but can blazing blazing high action, and both sides can severely disrupt, and sabotage each other.
I feel you’re ignoring the fact that with my suggestions ft can destroy the wrist computer so no cloak, and shoot off the pc. So youd basically be naked.
At that point, pred would only be able to go in a desperate rush, or retreat from the hunt.
Theres more to it, but I dont really feel like typing it all up. But if you’re interested I can, you’ll see with what I’m talking about, simply losing the reinforcement radio isn’t as bad as you think.
The warehouse im guessing. It’s the one with the train inside. You got a decent view to the helipad. But that’s basically across the map. I was trying to go off in game meters but remembering a small detail like that distance isnt easy for me.
But my point was bullets dont just vanish based off distance in this game. I tested the cloak out when they first did the change it was 50 in game meters I believe.
To be honest, given current ft damage I wish it was still like this. I believe currently its 80 meters.
Not sure and I dont play enough to test it out.
As for projectile, I honestly just feel.it would feel better and play more smoothly. But that ones just a feeling, I could be wrong.
Fair enough, but those other changes would actually make this game comparable to AAA titles in depth of gameplay and strategy. As it is, it’s too one dimensional.
Nah you’re completely right dude, hitscan weapons as is feel like utter shit to actually use and are just unfair when one side only has projectile. The feedback from the weapons is very poor ATM. Projectile gunplay is just objectively better feeling. And ya know, requires actual skill.
It actually makes dodging at a distance possible by zigzagging as well. Then the Sawz50 wouldn’t be so overpowered.
FT could honestly reasonably keep the damage output they have now if every weapon was made Projectile, I don’t think the damage would be as big a problem in that scenario. MAYBE some things would still need re-tuning, but it wouldn’t be “Okay you just die if you pop out of cover.”
If anything is not happening in this list it’s 11A, B, & C.

Not at all I’m a Pred main and don’t play FT unless I have a solid squad.
All I’m saying is they took away the ability for the pred to find the radio and set traps which I think was fine it’s prep time for pred and to see if the ft was dumb enough to get caught lol
I say 5b won’t work for they will not allow such a thing into the game for you see ft would quit or won’t play. Also illffonic just won’t do it.
Well considering the mask, wrist computer, and plasma caster could be destroyed, I dont see how having no reinforcement radio is that big a deal.
Because pred can run away with 2nd wind and it don’t run out that’s why. Look I’m down for the radio to become a destroyable object to make it hard. But they just won’t do it.

So i was thinking of how Illfonic can implement barrel tossing. Whenever peed is near a barrel and any of the FT is at that base/location, there will be a prompt to toss it. If pred desired to do it, a ‘save princess Dutch’ minigame will be generated.
If any of the FT managed to get to princess Dutch, they will avoid all damage. Otherwise, if a certain FT gets hot by a barrel he/she will incur 60 points of damage and will be waiting for the minigame to end. Minigame will last 20 seconds. If princess Dutch is not saved in that time, and there are FT still in the minigame, they will incur 30 points of damage.

It would take them like 6 months to implement everything with no problems. Given that its illfonic definitely longer.
Tho given that you would be able to shoot off the pc and wrist computer, meaning no cloak, I dont see how you think this Is all pred favored. It’s just about trying to balance things out.
Currently, this game is all favored towards ft.
It has been for way over a year.
I forget which section I wrote it in, but I did put each class feeling unique and getting unique gear and abilities. This isnt limited to pred classes.
The only difference would be is that ft wouldnt be able to easily chase down preds, they wouldnt have the severe advantage they do atm, and would actually have to plan things out and come up with strategies since they wouldnt be able to rely on duplicates on things.
It would definitely be a much more fun games for both sides.
Not only that, things can always be tweaked around.
Tho pred will definitely be stronger than what he is now, and more capable, it’s not like hes going to have the full advantage.

I’ll make a more detailed comment later about the changes that you mentioned which i think would be essential to making the gameplay more interesting,
1…I would lower damage across the board, for pred and FT.
4…For pred stealth, just make clicking ambient so it is known that pred is in the area.
5…Mission interaction time should be increase by 25% and each mission should include two instances where two FTs have to interact simultaneously. Reinforcement radio cannot be at base where mission is.
9…Class locked weapons would be good for FT, but if damage is reduced it might not be needed.
22…I wouldn’t mind if PC could be shot off, but it’s too close of a hitbox to the mask. There will be issues. Overall mask durability if find, maybe 20% buff would be ok.
More gear and weapons are always welcome. But nothing that will change interaction mechanics. That’s just asking for more bugs.
I would get rid of the 9 second tracking perk for FT. It’s too disruptive.
I think these bare minimums will change the experience in a meaningful way without introducing more bugs. I do like your ideas, but it’s way to much for them.
