You are right, for sure. this new game mode and map need to be big.
But I can tell you in my opinion, it wont last. It will be just as broken as the rest of the game if it even slightly follows in the core games footsteps.
A rework now will still take a lot of time sure, But Just them telling us its being worked on, would be enough for me to stay. The promise of a better future is better than none at all.
The way the devs are talking now about the future is going to “hype”. Now ive been trying to stay optimistic on this game which I still am I’m hoping what they have for August turns this low streak around
I hope whatever it is they have up their sleeve it proves me wrong.
Cause if they can turn it around before the end of August that means we might see this game on PS5 since its sony licensed but I doubt Sony will pull trigger unless it will be profitable means this game needs to improve vastly in the next 3 months or sooner.
I just dont see it happening with what we have currently. The core is so flawed its driving everyone away. The only way it brings people back is if it comes back with full force and reworks.
These gamemodes might draw in just enough interest to get people back for a month or two, as well as the map. But unless the gamemode itself is entirely different, its not gonna work. And larger maps are only gonna make the current issues so much worse.

Like I said, I hope so desperately they prove me wrong. I havent enjoyed this game in months. And I want to so fucking bad. But its not the game its supposed to be. I cant overlook that.

From what ive seen of recent datamines Fireteams is getting some sort of eletric grenades presumly for disabling the preds cloak
Honestly you dont need those to figure out where a cloaked pred is tho lol

Its possible but man a city map, is gonna be even worse in showing the problems of the game.
Yeah unless this fix some of the horrble movement controls on both sides and make the animations more fluid a city map will be very janky.
Well not just that but a city map is gonna have zero cover for pred. His stealth issues now are gonna be 20 times worse, not to mention if there is a ton of buildings thats the FT can duck into, preds gonna be at a constant disadvantage.
Yeah overall the cloak needs tweaking if they can manage that stealth might be a more viable option and I should clarify the Predator should be op in sense of its utility cloak, better mimicry, different visions modes, etc.

Predators arent tanks the reason they can go up againt the things they hunt is for there advance weaponry and utility, sure they have a shit ton health and armor but that shouldnt be what you rely on, the Predator should have plefora of options to approach a hunt and not feeled corner or stuck, or forced to one method cause that isnt how it should work imo.
Armor? What armor? Its like his entire species are a bunch of morons going into war zones wearing fish nets! Think of the armor we have today for humans, now imagine what predators could be wearing so far ahead in the future.
Im pretty sure the fish nets are both for body temperature control, and possibly their cloaks. As for the lack of armor preds use, My guess is that its for mobility. Preds typically prefer to be stealthy and thats hard enough to do when you sound like an elephant running around, add heavy future tech armor and thatd be even worse lol.
