Like why are media outlets and entertainment websites using the word Alum to describe actors and actresses who are part of unions who are on set for 2 weeks as if they are EQUAL to people who spend 2 academic years at college or univercity forking over their own money for tuition!?
WTF are wrong with writers these days?
They describe a person being an ALUMNIST to a particular TV Show on network TV but really its just jello smushed into icecream and making it sound like its going to pay for your son or daughters tuition.
Somebody stab Entertainment Weekly in their pocket books.
Stars are called STARS because stars are far out in the distant universe.
Alum is something we can bank on who are quote unquote worthy of workbased skillsets or academic knowledge based on understanding pedagogical strategy. NOT A FUCKING DOUCHE who played a role on a tv show who spent 5 hours remembering their lines for and fucking up their camera placements over and over again and doing take after take because…they had a hickup.
BUNCH OF TRASH!
Here is a recent example from trash factorry Shania Russell
