Keep the parry nerf the melee

The parry is not a terrible idea despite all the anti parry posts say. It’s the Melee damage from the knife that is the problem. A predator should not be able to just swipe n wipe a fireteam if it rushes an entire team of 3-4 fireteam members, or if your the last man standing you should be able to hold off the beast while reinforcements are inbound. The predator needs to be a threat but not to the point where any brainless brawler can rush in and insta wipe the team. Keep a balance it should be a dance and if you miss a beat you get punished as the fireteam or the predator. Maybe have parry where the predator pushes that parry player to creat distance to allow the fireteam member to pull out a gat and pump some lead instead, but this also allows the pred to web up or plasma cast them too. I don’t know I’m no expert but it’s the melee damage that’s the issue not parry.

Parry is fine and not a problem for Predator which fights vs 2 or less. Direct knife damage is not so much too. You are received huge amount of damage like Predator if was hiten from back or in head.

I agree that the knife does a bit too much damage but keep the parry, Ive found my ways to utilize my gear and make parrying quite difficult to do.

Thats pretty much where i’m at…
Being able to Parry with the knife isn’t the issue, its that they can fo it so often and the knife damage is so crazy high…

I had a post a couple days ago with this proposed change -

-parry needs to drain more stamina and if the FT swarm the predator trying to parry him then they should all trigger the effect when he is parried—> a successful parry should knock the fireteam member back from the predator and greatly reduce the damage they take instead of negating it all together, the stagger is great, as it gives the rest of the FT an opening to put serious damage on the predator, maybe increase the stagger duration to .75 or a full second to give a more solid deterrent to predators trying to melee rush full FT’s without traps and/or harassment(since the combi is classified as the area weapon increase the stagger amount by 25% for each addition FT member proccing the parry)(since the warclub is suppost to be the heafty weapon make it counter the parry by stunning the FT member instead of knocking them back , allowing the predator to follow up on the warclub attack before choosing to continue or flee- the fireteam can still unload on the predator with ranged, but rushing a warclub predator to parry would result in stunned fireteam members forcing the fireteam to adapt tactics to the fight and not using the same strategy every engagement)
