Kind of surprised at STAR WARS ECLIPSE

So there are darker over tones…what does this mean?
Are we getting a Mass Effect style SW game?
Its about time they lost the MEESUM STUPIDITY Jar jar shit.

My guess is it’ll be open world

It’ll be Detroit Become Human Star Wars edition. Don’t get too excited.

That game Detroit: Become Human really looked like a Kojima game. Even sounds like it. Death STranding is likely at this level of detail. The LOD is like that of next gen today but that D:BH came out years ago! Surprisingly it looks like it has the same engine features that Arkham Origins was made from on- specifically the crime scene engine/concept. Hell cyberpunk 2077 which came out a year ago looks like its using it too. Whether or not it’s engine specific or that its conceptually the same idea. i have no idea.

I enjoyed the trailer. It was dark and certainly not what I was expecting. Is Ubisoft publishing this? Because I know they announced a while ago that they’re working on an Open World Star Wars game.

Heavy Rain: Star Wars edition
just watch a walkthrough on youtube like all his other “games”

Detroit: Become Human is a part of the long chain of cinematic games that is instilled into QUANTIC Dream Studio manner of making games previous titles are Fahrenheit, Heavy Rain, Beyond: two souls and they are really good, and the studio is French. If you know the history of the games they did you will see it might be the other way around, maybe Kojima grasped on their perspective and style a bit when he did Death Stranding.

Is not like the Death Stranding is not promissing or does not stand alone as a title. I hope things get more interesting in the future with the title.

DBH storyline wise is pretty bizarre and when you think about it, kind of makes an interesting statement. AI by no means could carry a quantum computer (not yet i think), the idea that you have to play the game as an AI gives me a creepy feeling about how AI might react to situations. I ask the question: would they do any better in reality (if they were ever made like those in the game) and would they start feeling remorse for their actions if they made the wrong play? - brings up the title of game as an analogy if Detroit were filled with AI robots.
I haven’t played this game yet, so I think at some point i might.

The details in this game are mind boggling and the character acting and mocap is crazy!

That is a key problem that humanity, literature, philosophy and science has pondered with since…Asimov?

At the base and core of science fiction when it comes to computers, robots, artificial intelligence, the centralised and core idea is that…eventually AI, will wish first to be as the creator is (I mean look at us as humans, we are so complex yet so simple in trying to improve ourselves and our lives in order to live as long as possible and to learn and understand as much as possible as well as think and ponder about the idea of a creator of everything, including things such as a gods…and at different levels we aspire to reach or get as close as possible to that ideal…we are creators of many things, in this instance even of the AI). So what they will probably do, using developing intelligence and developing intellect, is to eventually become fascinated by the idea of humanity and what makes us human. All to the point of it probably wanting to replicate a human being to the deepest level, upfront or in secret/silence.

I think the drive for AI will be the primordial desire to know how to be human, feel, act. Or to experience humanity at its deepest roots…by replicating it.

This is one of the theories and a more friendly aspect. There are many theories in the sense of what AI can become out there and some of them are frightening to say the least. They will probably do a good job if they develop in this sense because look how extraordinary we are and what things we can accomplish as human beings, good things and also horrible things.

However, all of this being said, I am not eager to find out what the future and outcome of AI will be eventually. As it can be surprisingly good or surprisingly horrifying…and when I say horrifying I don’t think I have enough words to describe what that might include.

If you haven’t already, you could try playing the game, or their games. They are interesting to say the least. 👍

This talk would take me down a rabbit hole. Lets just stay above ground.

Nah, there’s no rabbit hole, the problem is complex and this is a very simplified view of it. (that we debated a bit here, now)

The problem is for us as humans or humanity and the concern here is of problem to refuse into putting things in perspective out of complacency or naivity. The subject is not delicate as it is of real concern about our future.

I usually like to be forward and speak things as they are, and based on the reality and possible, actual, outcomes. Hard to debate, discuss, deal with but this thing with A.I. but it will be a major problem, one way or another.

I mean, he did say “in my games, all women are whores” and “at Quantic Dream, we do not make games for fags”.

So it might actually be something cool for once.

something something Beyond: Two Souls

Never played any of their games so I have no clue. That and heavy rain just seemed like games for women, story and dialogue over gameplay, so I didn’t bother.

its the same crap as the other two just with ellen page

I enjoyed Heavy Rain quite a bit, but Beyond Two Souls was so shite I couldn’t even bother finishing it.

Actually played and finished Beyond 2 Souls with my partner. Is very cool that you can play in 2.
Couch Co-operation is neat. At least the remaster or PS4 port does. Dunno about the rest.

That’s kind of idiotic from him, if he did. (double checked online with a search and LeL, the news and articles said he did)

Given that there are games like Heavy Rain and Beyond Two Souls that have neat female protagonists and characters that are not necessarily portrayed that way.

I mean, it has Ellen Page, now Elliott Page? Dunno what the heck he wants to say but yeah…

Also by reading the articles about the issue, the things look kind of fishy. Things are not certain in trials and apparently the folks at Q D Studio think there is also a smear campaign going on for whatever reason.
