I might not be the only one who thinks that the knife is ridiculously overused and OP I have played 10 matches this week so far 9/10 matches someone always charged me with a knife or multiple people. The knife needs a serious nerf it is the only weapon you will see at least one person you the whole match besides spamming the hammerhead grenade launcher. But seriously the knife really needs a nerd since it basically does half of the predators melee weapon damage.
BTW Not trying to sound like a baby just saying my opinion of what I think of the knife I’m sure other people think that it is balanced I respect that I’m just sharing my opinion and probably others on what they think of the knife.

net them, throw your Combi in their face, slam them, drop a trap at their feet and beat them from behind.
Attack from behind or the side, jump over their head and reposition, try being sneaky or just wait til they swing take the first hit and punish them.

There’s so many ways to counter knife wielding FT! @Slasher_Clone is on-point with major methods, my favs are:
- NetGun
- Ground Slam
- The Al Bundy javelin-like throw of the Combistick (which temporally blinds FT)

The people who complain on the knife simply needs to learn how to play as a Predator.

Have you seen the movies? They die every fucking time.
YOu are using HUNTER!!! Try using Berzerker or even Scout. Their melee is unavoidable at times. I don’t know why, maybe their slash needs to be more synchronized for parry but the timing is much different.

Like I said I’m not trying to sound like a complainer and no I do not die while playing predator and people knife spam I just use the bear trap now or the bow and just lure them away from the rest of the team since they always charge and chase me but it does get pretty annoying. And yes I have seen the movies
They die in the movies just because no writers ad the balls to let’s a pure american died to an alien yet.
Cause ya know hollywood and american ego is fragile ;) just dont listen to this kids and I advice to show a video of how good the knives is. He is incredibly powerfull yes but the only reason why? Cause parry cost stamina but stabbing do not. Stun pred and you can deal quick free damage by stabbings him. Its dumb yes you can sti stab out of stamina but its sadly a thing just wait a bit for the next patch and see what happen. If he is still op a long feedback with video and proof should be enough dont lose hope man ;)

If they change the knife any more then it has been people wont play there are many ways around knives but you cant leave fireteam with zero defense otherwise it’s one sided as hell and no fun, and since predators need fireteam I would hope they dont alter it the last patch just hit the knife hard enough
I agree but they really need to refined the knife mechanic at least a bit but hey time will tell
Predators can circle their prey quickly making knife attacks not nearly as easy, most of the folks I play with in lobbies just dance around me trying to stab them or use weapons that eliminate it(enter netgun) combistick toss that blinds. I honestly use the knife as a last resort
Same goes for FT they can quickly take advantage of predator auto targeting when melee and run around it and stab him. Also it’s a pain personally for me to use easy meta like the combistick and net . Down one Ft and it’s over gg

My favorite way to counter the knife is with my combistick. Wait nevermind, every time I use it I get stuck in the throwing position and melted.

So the way I counter a ft member that charging me with a knife I don’t start swinging that is what they want you to do. jump around them side step don’t go head on that result in dead pred.
