Wait can you kill downed FT players with a combi stick throw? I thought only way to kill players was to quick/long claim them?

You can kill downed FT members with anything. Combi throw, plasma shot, bow shots etc.

In your opinion when you melee the downed FT player, do you reckon it’s quicker than quick claiming them?

It is ,but with the combi stick. 2-3 hits and their teammates wont have enough time to revive them if you keep harassing.
3-5 combo hits and they are basically dead at that point.
Give it a try, see for yourself how many hits you need. It might help you more than just my numbers.

Getting pissed and yelling at them isnt gonna help anything. You forget not everyone is just talking shit. I even posted you a clip, I play pred, not really ft.

Instead of just yelling man, why not idk… suggest a heavy attack that cant be parried? Ignore the ppl are just trying to shut you down, focus on the ppl who actually wanna try to reach some middle ground even when they disagree so we can get some majority feedback so they can balance on what the majority wants.

Its not a bug though.
Understandably, the parry looks and feels stupid playing as a pred. Here is hoping they revise the mechanic, for now it is in the game and i have little reason to believe they will come out with an entirely new mechanic.

That being said, as mentioned here predator has health and movement which reward smart stealth play and punish head on play vs the fireteam.

I would wager most people who responded here are actually predator players who likely agree that parrying needs changes.

Lots of fixes are still required. Best of luck.

Im playing 90% pred and i like the parry mechanic. it makes you consider and stratergise your approach.

Maybe it needs tweaking a bit, i dont know. id like to see it be easier to see the parry indicator when you DONT have the kife equipped. it seems to be a lot easier to parry with the knife out than if you try to press the melee button when the indicator shows. maybe use more stamina to parry and reduce the stun effect for the attacker.

Matches need more time on the clock, 20min same as Friday the 13th.

The reduction in hostile Ai coupled with missions not having randomization in their objectives are allowing FTs to speed-run thru them not giving the Predator enough time to stalk, thus forcing the Predator to charge-in only to get cut-down quickly.

If missions were more varied, similar to car & boat placement in Friday the 13th, plus they put back the removed Ai from last patch and added 5min, matches would take longer and provide more opportunities for the Predator to make smart tactical choices.

I also believe if FT members miss an extraction, the match shouldn’t end. The remaining FT should have the opportunity to call for a second Heli pickup at a different LZ. Which would give more time for the Predator to make more kills and also add a sense of value to Exfil.

Right now it doesn’t matter if players get Exfiled or not, there’s no huge XP gain for those making extraction to those left ‘alive’.

XP payouts should be huge for primary Heli Exfil, Half as much XP for secondary Heli Exfil and only 25% XP for staying alive to offer higher incentive for extraction.

Additionally, after chopper flies away the Predator should have 60-120seconds to claim downed players at the LZ.

Buddy, honestly, you really messed up your engagements, didn’t go in for any finisher. Tactically speaking you threw away a TON of HP for what? A small nick in their health supply?

Also, don’t throw your life around if you “have” second wind. You really gotta start seeing second wind as your “fuck I almost lost this match”. It’s very similar to the reinforcements of the fireteam. Do you feel like winning if you got your ass handed to you all match, but you won because you reinforced and escaped?

No, you ran around with 10% hp + second wind still trying to damage people, while the only goal you had was to finish one. Thats it. First engagement is going straight for 1 kill + finisher. So you end up with a 3vs1 and a forced reinforcements.

Before you complain, learn to play :)

So what would be preferable to a parry. Ft needs to have something to defend them self in melee range or all games would come down to melee bum rushes where the ft’s gets obliterated.

maybe removing all tracking from melee perhaps or something similiar.

Im not complaining. Im not overly concerned by second wind. I don’t compare it to reinforcements either, it regens and can be used more than once.

Also it was a test to try an all in claw only attack on all ft at once inspired by op’s post
