It happened again.
All an ft member need to kill a predator is a knife and 3 or 4 strikes.
it totaly breaks the game’s purpose.
Thank God the majority of players play flair. but every time this happen it shows how much this game need to be fixed.
And they say this game was inspired by the 1987 movie!
Knifing the predator's entire health in 4 secs. This is sad!

The knife has about a 7s ttk on Big Predators.
Uphill fighting is wonky because the angle of FPS vs 3rd person.

you are also getting shot from the rest of the team on the left. You can see the bullets. you are running in an enclosed space uncloaked with your claws while the FT is basically surrounding you. melee and shooting you.
I have to ask: what is it that you expect to happen in this situation? If you could balance this game yourself, what you would like to actually have happen here?
How is this gameplay stealthy stalking and hunting, picking them off when they are not expecting it?

Also when the fuck did this happen in the 1987 movie? I will have to rewatch it because i missed that part.

May not be the best clip, and I havent completely mastered my melee pred vs knife technique, but this is to give you an idea of how I go about it.
Unless they’re separated, the point I know they won’t get help in time I dont go in and rush. I chip em down with plasma cannon. I start focusing on melee if theres one or two left.
I’m doing better now, but this is just to give you an idea how you should stick and move.

the net pin plus spear throw is my favorite combination. its pretty nasty. the spear throw to a downed FT is dirty too.

No need to rewatch it, I just watched it today and at no point in time did that happen. In my opinion I believe it’s common sense but I’m not judging. If you play the Predator like you would as the FT, going straight for your target until goal is accomplished, your probably not going to win. The Predator has different stats, weapons, and abilities and should played as such

Personally, I like to watch them for just a minute and see how they operate. They way they move can tell you if they’re communicating or not, but also just to see how they all work together. If they are working together and pretty well, I wait til they all get to an area surrounded by buildings. For the most part it’s pretty easy to herd them(using a combo of cloak/uncloak, plasma caster, bow, and major maneuverability)all into one building if they don’t do it by themselves. I like to use audio decoys on the building and motion sensors at all the entrances. It’s not easy but my goal there is to exhaust there equipment and ammo. Eventually one or all of em try to make a break for it and that’s when I pounce in with the spear and take them out. But that’s just me

Its just you are straight up bad. There’s nothing else to say. The fact that you let urself be surrounded and KNIFED by 3 or more FT members just speaks volumes of your skill levels

here you go i just recorded this, all claws full visibility as much as possible. Tried to get footage in temple but didnt encounter a full team there so i wont bother to post it.
The first time i almost die here and am just jumping my leap wasn’t activating (quite possibly due to stam now that i look at it ) so i took alot of unnecessary damage as i meandered with them shooting at me.
you can never stop moving with claws. especially not standing in front of someone being parried over and over. Though not put into practice here, the 3rd claw combo hit is situational like if they are in a corner because of the animation stun and how short range it is.
I should have prioritized the scouts / recons.
Just a side note on the cloak, alot of posts call for it to be super invisible or perfect at all times. IMO even if I could only cloak while stationary I wouldnt care and it would still be effective enough. The cloak is also situational and allows you to get in positions to strike, reposition, turn it on and lose them again until they walk by and you strike again.

Uhhhh, when playing Pred you can’t just run up in the spot like that my dude with all FT members right there you asking for a death sentence. I ain’t tryna to talk about how you play Pred but never run in a spot like that you will get the business knife or not. I lost a game like that being too cocky and the FT made me pay for it

Just parry the wristblades with a tiny knife (it stop his actions, while the wristblades dont stop the ft firing)
Them, the others help you shooting at you
