Just an idea fielded about in the Hunting Grounds Discord when we were discussing the history & nature of the game’s DLCs and how Samurai is lacking a companion like Viking has Valk.
Female Predator who hunted in Feudal Japan alongside the Samurai as his distaff counterpart akin to how Valkyrie exists as the Viking’s distaff counterpart. Took up the design elements of a Kunoichi, Female Ninja, to contrast with Samurai adopting the appearance & customs of the humans he hunted at the time. Built for Hit & Run engagements with a focus on Gear usage to create chaos & openings.
Stats consist of…
Health - 1200 HP.
Stamina - 4 Bars
Speed - 4 Bars
Energy - Very low. Maybe about the same or even less than Scout. Would be a valuable resource to balance as she couldn’t maintain thermal or cloak for very long.
Sound Isolation - Slightly below average. Not as long lasting as Hunter’s Sound Iso, but more than Valkyrie’s Sound Iso.
Natural Perks consist of…
Light Foot - 25% less noise when walking, sprinting & moving through trees.
Branch Master - Faster Movement Speed in Trees.
But Kunoichi would also take 10% more damage from Fireteam Melee attacks.
Specialisations Kunoichi would have access to include…
Disciplined - Removes clicking whilst Cloaked.
Ghost - 30% more melee damage whilst Cloaked.
Tactician - Increased damage against enemies that are Trapped, Netted or Interacting.

Kunoichi would bring with her 2 New Gear Items for Preds & 1 New Melee Weapon.
Shurikens - Throwable Ninja Stars like those seen in AVP & AVP:R. Probably only carry 6 of them at a time. Large Pouch would increase that to 12. Deals 20 damage per hit. Costs 4 Gear Points to carry.
Smoke Bomb - Throwable device which engulfs a large area in Smoke to block Fireteam’s line of sight and confuse & disorientate them. Would last for 20 seconds each. Can only carry 4 at a time. 6 with Large Pouch. Costs 5 Gear points to Carry.
Dual Wakizashis - A Yautja variant of the Japanese Short Sword akin to the Samurai’s Katana. Incredibly fast hitting but eats through stamina equally fast meaning they are best used in quick in & out flourishes whilst the FT is disorientated from Kunoichi’s use of gear items. Final hit of the combo would apply Bleed. Would lack a heavy attack.
So Kunoichi would be a fast paced class that would revolve around heavy usage of Gear items to confuse & disorientate the Fireteam whilst also having fantastic stealth options via their access to Disciplined & a natural Built-In perk of Light Foot which would reduce all the noise they make by moving at around 25%. They would have to balance their incredibly low Energy reserves & Health by making use of their incredible speed, ability to mess with the FT in a variety of ways through their gear options and focus on quick Hit & Run ambushes because in a straight fight or when caught off guard they could be melted due to a lack of defence & low Plasma Caster usage due to low Energy.
