Leap slam

Are you meant to be able to inflict damage on that through the roof? I wiped a FT that way when they were all huddled up and honestly thought it wouldn’t do much damage if any but it did

It is unknown whether or not it is intended as the Devs have not said. That being said it is widely regarded by the community as an exploit and a bug.

its a bug that is used by pred that know of it cant see this being intended make no sens jumping and smashing a bunker that hurts players inside bud thats up to the dev team to let us know

i would say NOT intended and will get fixed so dont rely on it. plus its a cheap tactic lol

I find spot spamming, 3 downs before actual death, and total respawn cheap. To each their own I suppose 🤷‍♀️

I don’t think it intended but it should stay in the game it forces the fireteam to stop camping in a building with medkits.

They definatly need to remove the bug of canceling the leap slam animation though.

Just go outside. How is it any more cheap then four people camping the building killing AI with 0 risk while they have a medkit in the back of the room where you can’t shoot it with a plasma caster?

i tried to make a build around slams and cooldowns. didnt find the cooldown perk worth it.

well the caster has the counter of just rushing at the predator once he starts aiming which they know when they hear the “whirring sound” or outgunning him with superior firepower if they are that confident
the slam on roof only counter is to just run outside and risk getting ambushed after losing potentially 95 hp which is half hp or 75% hp depending on the class

oh i should also mention if they ran outside after losing that much hp then a zerker for example would kill all of them in 2 melee hits unless they used stims which could be seen as unfair due to how they took the initial 95 dmg

Yeah. It’s there for anti-tunnel. The devs. were smart to put that in.

I get why people may find slam like an “exploit”. Then you get a match where the ft camps a building and baits the predator knowing its suicide for the predator. At that point its either trying to spam plasma caster or slam. Slam gets things moving much faster.

Idk I’m kinda 50/50 on it. I mean I know the slam is supposed to be a cheeky utility ability. It might be a little too strong that way, but at the same time it does counter those that try to become a walking firing squad bunkering down. Either way, I’m gonna go with it wasnt intended, but I guess we will find out maybe sometime.

I would love to see this glitch gone. Keep in mind FT has to stay in rooms sometimes because of objectives. Doesn’t seem in the spirit of the game for Pred to get free unlimited damage because of the mission.

Only one needs to be present for the objective. Other ft members don’t need to crowd. Strategies can and will develop to punish a predator who slams predictable buildings.

Yeah, I’d only do that if a FT was exploiting and firing through the roof on Overgrowth at that main camp in the south. Saw a team doing that in a YT video and if I encountered that, I’d just start leap slamming the roof. If bug exploiting is on the table from one team it’s fair by the other.

So I’ve begun to use this on teams that like to hide.

I think its intentional, to extent.

Alot of fireteams, not all but alot trying huddle up in buildings and wait out the clock.

Im not talking 1 or 2 dudes scared.

4 big body classes baiting you into close quarters. Like I’ve waited a full 9 mins before and threw a motion sensor on top and they wanted to wait it all out. I was like jesus Christ.

Apparent they “win” if the timer runs out.

I think the height of the leap should determine its power.

Sometimes you can leap a foot and do it, one it shouldn’t, two if its smaller jump it should have less damage and less blind. Stun everyone because preds have to do a fancy pose for some fucking reason and I have entered a automatic spear throw that I can’t cancel (thats bullshit to me, I wanna hop in and fucking bolt before i get turned i into swiss cheese)

Does it need tweaking? Like everything in this fucking game yes.
