its stupid tho Derailed is a pain for the sniper, if they try to get highground or go on the damn pipe you just shot under their feet with the plasma canon and lets the damn split damage do the work, its easy.
That’s not how it works when you are on discord with your squad. We yet to meet a pred that somewhat would make it problematic for us to take higher ground. If we see Pred taking higher ground on the roof - we focus fire on him before he has to leave and then take that position for ourselves. Against a good squad none of that “charging PC or a bow before peaking out for a shot” thing works more than 1-2 times. Unless you want your mask destroyed in seconds. You simply loose because of PC/Bow projectile going against instant hitscan weapons like bolt action rifle / 50 cal auto / revolver from PC players who are good with the aim/spotting and just predicting where u will peak out for the next shot.

Pred hasn’t been spotted, he’s been cloaked since landing his jump yet he glows white the entire time.
(there’s no water in that position either)

Looks like a bug where the cloak animation took forever to go away. But that’s the first time I’ve seen that shit.
To me it looks like he cloaked after landing, then uncloaked and cloaked again so he got that “after-cloaking” glow.
EDIT: Yep - you can ever hear the cloaking sound.
You can hear the cloaking sound with that quality at that distance?

I’m running a set of G35 headphones, and the fidelity is pretty insane.
I mean I am 40 so perhaps.
You can literally hear him cloak at 2:39-2:40 - hence why he glows. And im not even on my gaming PC/headset rn, just looking at the footage from my work laptop.

Perhaps I am, if you can hear a cloak, de-cloak, cloak in that video at that time point. Either I’m old or you have bionic hearing.
Or perhaps you should simply try to rewatch that part again before calling something so simple and easy to understand an exploit and going into “WtF iS thAt sH*t!?” reaction. Im not gonna bother trying to explain how after he cloaks at 2:39 he gets after-cloak glow which happens literally in every game. Noone seemed to even get bothered about it because that’s how it works in the game since the Beta lol.

i never actually accused you of anything. I did question what is in the video, at that time point, because to me it seems odd.
The only part of the entire video. Because in all honesty, that seems odd.
Looks like the cloak animation bugged out and lasted far longer than it is intended.

Ok so I watched the vid, I slowed down the footage. It looked like he kept turning his cloak on and off.
So it might be that. He just turned it on. If not, it might just be pc cloak tbh.
I keep saying, cloak doesn’t work as intended on pc.
Theres a vid, idk If you’ve seen it before, of scoutmain testing out the cloak in potato mode.
When the pred went in front of some leaves, while being on the branch, the game did not register the leaves behind him, so it showed the sky.
Which resulted in the pred glowing like a blue Christmas light.
I dont think too many ppl care or believe me, but cloak especially, doesn’t work as intended on pc.

Not sure why people are getting made at Sharpy for simply playing the dumpster fire that was given to us.
Hitscan has to be changed. FT in general takes virtually no skill to be a “godly aimbotter extraordinaire”. The janky ass hitboxes paired with copy/pasta netcode paired with the fuzzing of actual hits because console plebes need dat handicap = a game that HEAVILY favors the FT and removes any modicum of what I would call skill from their gameplay loop. I don’t even play FT that often, but when I do, I never lose and its usually just me and a friend with some rando PS4 AI teammates. Game just isnt challenging or hard at all for FT. Its boring af.
I just giggle a little when I see FT talking about how “good” they are lol.

Just watched some more of the vid and its exactly what I said. I see Sharpy clearly miss multiple times only to be given hit credit. No recoil, hitscan, and staying in scope while he actions the bolt WHILE standing.
Get real lol. You like beating up on mediocre preds with your sniple rifle, thats fine, thats the dumpster fire we have been give. I don’t hold a grudge against you for that, I just wont give illfonic anymore of my money until they address the imbalance.
Just don’t think that FT takes any kind of actual skill to be good at because its honestly just braindead easy.
High ground is a death trap.
This is exactly why I dont even charge the bow anymore. I just get in your mid range where your rifle scope puts you at a huge disadvantage and I play it like TF2 bowing.

I played TF2 and played TF2 at comp level at Premier ETF2L division as sniper in 6v6 and Highlander 9v9 format so I know how it is.
